Would have liked to have kept Harry. He has his complexities but is a very decent human and a very good footy player. _________________ kymbo |

Adams fits the demographic from a rebuild sense, but I would love to understand where the clubs Dee's our next leaders to come from.
Overall, still think we made the right decision on this one, don't forget, Heath was beginning to loss the plot in his final year, most supporters were quite happy to trade him out while he still had some value. |
True. Sometimes it takes a new environment to reinvigorate players, so we can't assume he would've produced the same form he's shown at the Giants if he had've stayed with us.
I'm with you on the need for some leaders around the club. If we don't turn things around this year I think we need to have a clean out at the end of the season and bring in a couple of mature top up players to complement our young list. But they need to be solid performers not players with question marks over them. |

I would like to think we have young players on the list that can be developed into club leaders, players who have a passion to take the club up the ladder and want to play for the black and white.
If we go down the path of replacing the coach, it would be great to see a bunch of young hard nuts installed under our leadership group. Adams, De Goey, Moore, these plays give it everything game in game out, that's the standard we should be expecting from our entire playing group, the next captain will come from this wave. |

We'd all like to think that. Whether it's reality is a whole different question. |

I watched Seedsman closely on Friday night. Still the same. Does some really nice things but also does some terrible things minutes later. _________________ ------------

His failed attempt to guard the kick out after Walker hit the post led directly to the winning Hawthorn goal. |

Amazed Harry has kept out of the spot light since he has been at Melbourne seemed when he was at Collingwood he was in the news every week with some controversy |

Along with Dawes they have become fringe players, coaching staff are relying on their leadership and experience more than on field ability.
I suppose as a fringe player in a minor football club, your opinion and morales carry far less weight. In saying that, I do miss the passion both players had for our club.

No one cares about anything that happens at Melbourne. It has been that way for 50 years. The media wouldn't know where to go to find him, even if they cared. |

Might be wrong, but didn't we essentially get Varcoe in return? If that's the case, then we are well and truly up. Harry has struggled with Melbourne, his lost a yard of pace and foot skills haven't improved. Varcoe was unlucky not to win last years best and fairest. |

I wish Darren Millane hadn't decapitated himself after a bender, we would have had another flag.
I wish we grabbed Lockett instead of sticking with Sav, there's another flag lost. |

I don't think I ever accepted it, and still haven't. Smacked too much of a knee-jerk reaction taken in the aftermath of a disappointing loss. If we'd won that game (and it's hardly as if Shaw lost it on his own), I can't help but wonder if he would still be on our list now. _________________ "Every time we witness an injustice and do not act, we train our character to be passive in its presence." – Julian Assange |

Yep, pretty much; seemed like the ax was being held up above his neck long before that final, they were just looking for a chance/excuse to drop it.
Have a think back to Daisy's gesture at the box in the 2012 semi final as well.

Spilt milk ... Regret = wasted energy etc. There are more.
I'm very happy for Heater, doing a great job for the Giants, but his time was up at Collingwood. Definitely the right moves to let him and Harry go. _________________ Donny.
