Because we need more kids?
I think it's very important that we get some youth into that team. We could perhaps benefit from the draft-age being lowered to, say, 15. |

Need to recruit guys that can actually kick a ball and hit a target. _________________ Magpie Jumper Gallery:

We're not quite there, yet, JW - we have about a week of desperate "future best 22s" containing Scharenberg, Wills, Phillips and Golds before we run the "play the kids" video.
It isn't that long ago there were predictions of future superstardom for Brenden Abbott - about 5 minutes before he took off on that stellar run of never playing another VFL game. |

You know you are in trouble when people are advocating trading with Richmond. Who next, Essendon? Oh that's right, the HHH business lol _________________ Get back on top. |

Kind of like Cox is the greatest Forward to ever play the game till he actually played senior football _________________ Carlscum 120 years being cheating scum |

Abbott looked ok but wasn't it a personal issue that derailed him? _________________ Get back on top. |

Yes, it was. I liked Abbott, too - I just felt that comparing him with Daicos and Millane was a little unnecessary on the back of one good showing in the VFL. I was commenting on a particular Nick's-poster-style, not on the boy. |

I think you're underselling what he offers, neil - personally, I was taken with the thread premised on the idea of sacking both Witts and Cloke because Cox had 6 kicks and took a chest mark in his first game. Talk about (un)planned obsolescence. |

The rumour is that that was why he didn't line up in the VFL, and the club has spread a story that he injured himself pre-game (to keep the media at bay while he sorts himself out).
I hope it is all BS, but in one way it wouldn't surprise if true, because the club's injury excuse re Travis sounded phoney. _________________ Collingwood and cricket umpiring - my life is black and white. |

I saw Cloke training on Friday and he wasn't injured. They said he went for scans on Wednesday after training, but they only trained on Thursday. |

I was heart broken when he left but seeing he was having some emotional problems, it's very lucky he didn't stay for this year.
I still have hopes of him returning next year. _________________ kill for collingwood! |
