I know this has been mentioned in a few threads but its worth one of tis own

Hasn't been his best year but still performs well. Getting to 150 as a ruck (ruck rover) with the workload he carries and all the bash and crash is a great effort.

Are you saying that you don’t think he will be able to play out the remainder of his contracted years?

Gavin Brown played 250 games.
His last 100 were poor.
His body was stuffed from all the bashing and crashing he did.
I hope Grundy hasn't gone down the same path.

Great achievement that deserves to be celebrated with a rousing win. The players must lift to play out of their skins today. Still not fully confident of a win but hey, any straw is worth grasping at this stage🤞🏽Just go for it ‘pies.

He is always only one major injury away from being unable to play out the remainder of his contracted years. Same with all players but we seem to experience more bad luck than others for some reason🙄

There is no warrant whatsoever for that comparison.

Gavin Brown didn't reach his 150th until he was pushing 28. He was a fabulously courageous - but slight - wingman. He was also asked to perform repeated, ridiculous feats on the football field, such as playing as the spearhead at FF, playing at full-back on Gary Ablett etc etc. He spent his entire career playing out of his weight division because of his incredible skill and endeavour. Grundy can be injured, like anyone, but not by the opposition. He is the strongest body on most football fields, most weeks.

Comrade, spot on, lets play out of our arses today, and give the big guy a well deserved victory, on his big day. Just hope and pray, we can do it. Exclamation

Perhaps his last 50 he had little influence on the results.
He started in 1987, and by 1997, was still state captain IIRC?
Shaw played him out of position way too often; Matthews just as guilty.

Unlucky playing his 150th against one of the best rucks to ever play! Congrats to Grundy, and hopefully our kids win the clearances to reward him

Of course he is - the hysterics about Natanui after the last game were misconceived. Natanui didn't actually win a single important ruck contest against Grundy until the game was over.

Trade him! Everything he touches has resulted in a WCE shot. Deplorable for your highest paid player.

No
I was a great fan of Brown and his kids, in particular, Tyler Brown.
I am worried that Grundy is carrying injuries and has been driven into the ground by constant rucking.
Same issue in what happened to Gavin Brown.
Bashed and Smashed into the ground,
Gavin Brown was a player who had too much courage!
It stuffed his last few years.
