Mate, you did Glenn Frey proud.
It makes dealing with his loss a lot easier. _________________ M I L L A N E 4 2 forever |

One for those who want Blair sacked,
with apologies to Elton John and Candle in the Wind.
Goodbye Jarryd Blair
Though I never knew you at all
You had the guts to back yourself
While those around you toiled
You came in as a rookie
And you helped us win that flag
but then your form slipped
And our supporters you do bag
And it seems to me you played the game
Like a man who gave his all
Though according to our fans you
couldn’t get the ball
And I would have liked to have kept you
But you’re just a bust
according to the fans that is
Your coach he must be nuts _________________ Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down. |

Can you tell me why we're playing Blair tonight, oh Lord
How much longer will he be in black and white, Oh Lord
Can you tell my why we're playing Blair tonight, oh Lord, oh Lord
When the teamsheet showed he was playing
I thought that bucks had gone mad
But we've seen this shit before my friend
And we know it will only end bad
He must have been there and saw what Bucks did
The Polaroids he has on file
So Bucks must keep him in
No matter what form he's in
He doesn't even have to try
Can you tell me why we're playing Blair tonight, oh Lord
How much longer will he be in black and white, Oh Lord
Please Bucks tell my why we're playing Blair tonight, oh Lord, oh Lord
Can you tell me why we're playing Blair tonight, oh Lord
How much longer will he be in black and white, Oh Lord
Please Bucks tell my why we're playing Blair tonight, oh Lord, oh Lord
The one percenters, the one percenters he tells me
Something we cannot forget,
It's not the first time, the last time he'll miss out on a stat
But I know the reason why he made this weeks line up,
No you don't fool me
The stats show zero
The disbelief grows
It's a secret between you and he
Can you tell me why we're playing Blair tonight, oh Lord
How much longer will he be in black and white, Oh Lord
Please Bucks tell my why we're playing Blair tonight, oh Lord, oh Lord

In a dark MCG hallway, stench of defeat in my hair,
Warm smell of Bucks bullshit, rising up through the air
Up ahead in the distance, I saw a shimmering light
It was Stewart Dew and his ample frame
Asking if I was alright
There Ed stood in the doorway;
I heard the siren sound
And I was thinking to myself,
"This could be Heaven or this could be Hell"
Then he lit up a durrie, and he started to pray
There were voices down the corridor,
I thought I heard them say...
Welcome to the Basement of the ladder
Such a lonely place (Such a lonely place)
our coach is a disgrace
Plenty of room at the basement of the ladder
Any time of year (Any time of year)
You can find us here
Bucks mind is bitter and twisted, he got the Mercedes bends
He got a lot of assistant ex team mates, that he calls friends
How they butchered our game plan, absolutely inept,
won't be playing in September, not this year or next
So I called up the Captain,
"why are you in the backline"
He said, "We haven't had a decent defender here since - Leon wouldn't re-sign"
And still those voices are calling from far away,
Wake you up in the middle of the night
Just to hear them say...
Welcome to the basement of the ladder
Such a lonely place (Such a lonely place)
Our coach is a disgrace
They livin' it up in the basement of the ladder
What a nice surprise (what a nice surprise)
Bring your alibis
Mirrors on the ceiling,
Snorting Coke and smoking ice
And he said "We are all just prisoners here, of our own device"
And in the "perceptive fellow" chambers,
They gathered for the feast
They stab it with their steely knives,
But they just can't kill the beast
Last thing I remember, I was
Running for the door
I had to find the passage back
To the place I was before
"Relax, " said the Lollipop man,
"We are programmed to be sheep.
You can sack Bucks any time you like,
But he can never leave! |
we need a like button for some of these. That's a good one. |
Agreed - Bob has a fine talent for putting misery into verse! Good effort - I hope something of a similar quality could emerge when we are back winning games again… _________________ Love us or Hate us... we are Collingwood - you can't ignore the Mighty Magpies!!! |

In honour of a beautiful spring afternoon in October 2010
Malthouse Rock at the Melbourne County Gaol(MCG)
As Elvis Presley intended
When the 'Pies drew the party in the county gaol
Joffa's band was there and they began to wail
The band was jumpin' and the joint began to swing
You should've heard them cheersquad gaolbirds sing
Let's rock; everybody, let's rock
Everybody in the whole cell block
Was dancin' to the Malthouse Rock
One week later...
Goldy kicked a goal, that really set the tone
Heater's mighty smother, in time will stand alone
Johnno and the Caffer boy went crash, boom, bang
The whole rhythm section of the Magpie Gang
Let's rock; everybody, let's rock
Everybody in the whole cell block
Was dancin' to the Malthouse Rock
Number four Didak said to big Jolly
"You're the cutest gaolbird I ever did see
I sure would be delighted with your company
Come on and kick the Gaolhouse goals with me"
Let's rock; everybody, let's rock
Everybody in the whole cell block
Was dancin' to the Malthouse Rock
The Saints were sittin' on a block of stone
Reiwoldt in the corner weepin' all alone
Maxy said, "Hey, buddies, have a look out there
The Collingwood chant is, ringing in the air"
Let's rock; everybody, let's rock
Everybody in the whole cell block
Was dancin' to the Malthouse Rock
Pendles won the medal, Sidey he was great
Daisy was cookin'; the Cup was ours to take
Maxy turned to Malty and he said, "Nicks, Nicks
Type your mighty messages and get your kicks"
Let's rock; everybody, let's rock
Everybody in the whole cell block
Was dancin' to the Malthouse Rock
Dancin' to the Malthouse Rock
Dancin' to the Malthouse Rock
Dancin' to the Malthouse Rock
Dancin' to the Malthouse Rock
Dancin' to the Malthouse Rock

Under the Boardwalk///In the Boardroom. Assignment's done and it's karaoke time - woo hoo!
Oh, when the sun beats down it burns the holden centre roof
and the tempers are so hot, cos Clokey's playing in the twos
In the boardroom, down on his knees
Bucks will be bowing down to king Eddie
(In the boardroom) Bucks is the son
(In the boardroom) The deal was done
(In the boardroom) Eddie strokes Buckley's bum
(In the boardroom) Perty's obsessed with drugs
In the boardroom, boardroom
From the G you see thousands willing Buck's to fail
and we're holding our hopes on a big yank we found in the mail
In the boardroom, down on his knees, yeah
Buckley licks the leather boots of king Eddie
In the boardroom, down on his knees, yeah
Buckley mops up the mess he made of king eddie
(In the boardroom) Bucks is the son
(In the boardroom) The deal was done
(In the boardroom) Buckley strokes eddie's bum
(In the boardroom) Perty's obsessed with drugs
In the boardroom, boardroom
Oh, In the boardroom, down on his knees, yeah
Buckley curls up next to king Eddie
(In the boardroom) Bucks is the son
(In the boardroom) Ed and Bucks are havin' some fun
(In the boardroom) Eddie strokes Buckley's bum
(In the boardroom) Perty's obsessed with drugs
In the boardroom, boardroom |

Yesterday all our troubles seemed so far away.
Could it be that Bucks is here to stay.
Or will he hang on to Anzac Day
Suddenly our boys are winning easily
Steele, Cox, Pendlebury
Oh, yesterday played brilliantly
Will Bucks have to go, I don't know, Ed wouldn't say.
This weekend things could go wrong, and we'll long for yesterday.
Yesterday the Bombers were such an easy team to play.
We can't we play them every day
Oh, I'll remember Anzac Day _________________ "The night is a very dark time for me" Chaz Michael Michaels |
