Don't like Ratten, but I don't think the replacement is the big question, you don't hold onto a coach due to a lack of replacement. If a coach isn't working you need to make a change, there are always good options out there. When/if the time comes we need to make an exhaustive search, not repeat the failures of our last appointment.
It's too early this season to say that a move needs to be made, but today's performance was certainly not encouraging. _________________ Well done boys! |

Oh. Sorry he is dead.
I'm not sure who yet but the club needs to make sure they follow due diligence in the selection and not be influenced by PR spin as they clearly were last time. _________________ We've all heard that a million monkeys banging on a million typewriters will eventually reproduce the entire works of Shakespeare. The question is, how long do we really give him?
With the Blues, Dees, Bombers and Lions coming up in the next 5 weeks (the other team is WCE in Perth), do we put some kind of expectation on that?
If we lose to Melbourne and Essendon, does he get his final notice? _________________ A Goal Saved Is 2 Goals Earned! |

If we bring the same intensity as the last 3 games the only chance we have in the next 5 is the Lions, and that would be close.
If we do only manage 1 win the next 5 it's see ya later. Maybe sooner. There needs to be signs of improvement. At the moment we are close to flat lining. _________________ "The night is a very dark time for me" Chaz Michael Michaels |

He talks well and we know he has a great footy brain and was a superb footballer who brought his A game when needed.
Eddie has to ensure the club has sponsors and money etc and now needs to put the pressure on Bux. If Eddie does nothing this year then he will go down with Bux the way things are headed…
I am hoping Bux and the team turn it around over the next month with intensity and a man on man game style that will suit our team anyway. Take a chance and give it a go - no matter what happens it can't get much worse than the current rubbish! |
What coaching roles outside of Collingwood? He had eff all. I don't think Mick has acknowledged Buckley created the press. That has always sounded like Buckley spin to me. I want a coach from outside the Collingwood system, fresh eyes, fresh ideas. I don't think "oh he played well for us so he must be a champion coach" is any any sort of reliable criteria at all. _________________ We've all heard that a million monkeys banging on a million typewriters will eventually reproduce the entire works of Shakespeare. Lot of people on this board claim to know more than buckley but none of them have either put their hands up for the job nor have they been nominated. _________________ kymbo |

if you think we have a plan b to cover the easter island statues inept
coaching, well why the hell would he be given an extension of contract.
the board don't have a plan b but if they decide to drop him they should follow suit. there to blame. _________________ no second chances |

That may be so, however it is quite obvious that the plan of the last few years, whatever it is, has not changed, and it is not working. But the coaching group persists. I wish I could say if it ain't broke don't fix it. Our plan is clearly a busted arse. _________________ "The night is a very dark time for me" Chaz Michael Michaels |

I wouldn't apply to coach a mediocre club with a drug culture problem controlled by a megalomaniac president who treats the club as his personal play thing. |
