I agree - he'd be the target you want up the ground when you are transitioning out of the back half. One on one, he'd rarely be beaten, and his big hoof could then insert it deep forward. I cant understand why it hasn't been tried. Maybe they feel that he hasn't got the mobility any more to run both ways.

Ordinary was probably the word - he was not dire, but he is not the game-breaker that he was. I still think he'd be worth trying up the ground where his hands and strength would help us move it out of the back half.

Problem being he's a liability once the ball hits the deck, it'd be like playing with 17 men.
Time to face it guys, he's finished, if we don't get any takers next year id start training him exclusively as a ruckman.

^ I could live with that Bob. He'd still be able to play the transition role and his around the ground marking would be an asset. He could have a second summer in that role - though we have a pretty good young ruckman already.

A lot depends on Cox, if his fwd work continues to improve we could play Cloke as our second ruck, then would could keep Cox and Moore as permanent fwds.
