Cloke has a contract which has been triggered for next season so unless he instigates a trade he can stay and get his coin (I've heard it's half his current deal and the second part of the deal hasn't and won't be triggered was to do with goals per match ave over first 4yrs)
Look Cloke has always been a bit iffy in front of goal. This isn't new.
Right now he's not even doing the things that made him dangerous like crashing packs, getting to contests, providing a decent decoy for others and most importantly his body language is disgraceful for a 200+ gamer
He wasn't dropped because he was missing goals he was dropped for poor work ethic and attitude and that hasn't changed in the VFL
I just wonder how much the nude pics he sent and the issues they caused his personal life have affected him. He certainly isn't showing the signs one would expect to see him display in the VFL
He may be mentally cooked or then again he might just simply not care about football anymore it happens
Look at his best he's a champ but he's a very long way off that person right now.
I hope he comes back because a Travis Cloke at his best is a mighty big piece of our puzzle |

Seriously, what would have been said about Cloke if he'd had 4 kicks in a 75 point flogging of a hapless opponent, the week after failing to get a kick in the whole first half of a game against a team we should have beaten? It beggars belief that some of you think we can make the finals playing a CHF who gets a kick once a quarter when the team is going well. |
And what did Cloke show in rounds 1-4 to suggest we'll make finals with him spudding it up out there?
He kicked 5 goals in 4 games and 3 are those were Joe the Gooses when he was standing by himself close to goal and one a fluke snap on his right foot. Hardly the returns of a so called elite power forward. He couldn't get off the ground to mark, he was hardly presenting and his second efforts and 1%er's were virtually non existant. Plus his body language was atrocious and has been all season including the NAB cup.
It's laughable that people are comparing Cloke's output with a second year kid to try and justify his position.
How's this for a stat then? With Cloke in our side through rounds 1-4 we kicked 43.39 at an average of 10.75 goals per game. Without Cloke we've kicked 65.53 at an average of 18.9 goals per game. Yeah let's bring back Trav so we can really **** up our already slim finals chances. |
Collingwood isn't going to play finals. |

All I know is that Bucks has done the right thing giving him the opportunity to re-discover his hunger for the game in the VFL. However, there is no guarantee he will ever find it. |

Agree. Rediscover the passion and hopefully can return to his best. We'll be much better placed over the next few seasons if he can. |

Exactly right right rude. Bucks had to make a statement to the young players that reputation doesn't guarantee you a game when your attitude isn't right
I with you I don't know if he has the desire to work hard to get back.
Hope he does but it's anyone's guess |

"32. Travis Cloke
Statistics: 14 kicks, 7 marks, 5 handballs, 19 disposals, 0 clearances, 8 inside 50s, 0 rebound 50s, 0 tackles
Notes: Dale Tapping noted post game that Cloke’s presence in the Collingwood forward-line provided a positive focal point for other forwards and midfielders to work around. Despite not kicking a goal, the big forward took eight marks and had 19 disposals."

So, Travis has 3 goals out of 5 at quarter time in the VFL today. It will be interesting to see how many more weeks we play without a CHF in the seniors. |

Great support shown by the head coach for Trav - after a good win in the afternoon, Buck's is down at Vic Park by 7.00pm, giving hands on support and encouragement to Trav at three quarter time. |

He'll be back, and when he does, we may well have an uncontrollably strong forward line. The decision to drop Cloke is starting to look like a piece of brave coaching genius. _________________ Two more flags before I die! |

Watched his high lights against Willy and it was Trav
at his best.
Hope he strings several efforts like that together so
he can be on hand for injuries if they occur in
AFL side.

It would help Mason out if Cloke was playing, both get double teamed but you can't double team both of them, but how do we fit Cloke in? Moore hasn't been great but he brings youthful enthusiasm and freshness to the team and he works his but off, I wouldn't drop him and I don't see a spot in the back 6 for him ATM either, maybe a wing? Not sure I'd be making a change to the midfield like that while things are ticking along nicely, we now find ourselves in an awkward situation, it'll be interesting to see which way they go, I'm sure an injury will come along sooner rather than later to someone though. _________________ Defender...........

The game has changed and so has the Pies structure and players. Cloke will be back and will get back into form but he will no longer be the single target in the forward line with two or three opposition players hanging off him. He will play a variety of roles and the Pies will take advantage of his big tank and long kick. He is not cooked yet. _________________ Now Retired - Every Day Is A Saturday |

He's going to need to really get some cracking form in the VFL to demand selection. While the porno trio of Moore White Cox are performing, there's no room for Cloke or a second ruckman. 3 talls is about all you want up forward unless you can get funky with the rotations.
One option would be to bring in Cloke if form demands it and drop a midfielder to play White on the wing. _________________ Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down. |
