Yes we have played in more losing GF's than the Tigers but really, they have spent many years building hopes in their supporters but haven't delivered.

The Coliwobbles was buried in 1990 and I reckon the Tigerz now have the mantle.

After they won the flag in 1980, they missed the finals in '81.

The won a semi against the Saints in '82, before losing the GF to Carlton.

They wouldn't make the finals again until 1995. Here they lost a Qualifier against North, won a Semi against Essendon and lost a Prelim against Geelong.

Their next finals appearance would not be until 2001, where they lost the Qualifier to Essendon, beat Carlton in the Semi and lost to Brisbane in the Prelim.

Then it was another long wait. But they made the finals from 2013-2015. All of these would be Elimination losses; Carlton in '13, Port in '14 and North in '15.

In the same amount of time they have won 4 wooden spoons.

Since its been a top 8 finals system, they have finished 9th 6 times.

So lets see.... After 1980 they have made the finals 6 times (82, 95, 01, 13-15). They have won a total of 3 finals (82, 95, 01). Have 4 wooden spoons. And have not won a final for 14 years.

2016 will make 36 years of premiership drought & 34 years of Grand Final drought.

Depending on which you find funnier, they have won 3 finals in 35 years or 2 in 33 years.
