I want wage parity with NSW - at least a 10% pay rise - still not near enough for the work we do in acute & the responsibilities we have in light of the piss weak EB agreements previously agreed to by the AMNF & HACSU

NSW Nurses are/were paid higher because they didn't have ratios. You happy to give up the ratios and the CPDA for a pay rise to get parity?

I don't work with ratios because I work with how many are there to assess & how many I can "do" in my 8 or 10 hours. That's the selfish part of me.
I will support my colleagues because they need the ratio's.
NSW wages are not higher because of ratios. They were higher historically
My colleagues in NSW ED's get about $10K more than me for doing the same work - they also don't require ratios.
Dan the Man sowed up the Nurses before the last election by promising to maintain the ratios. However, after a series of 2.5% pay rises over the years my wage is going backwards while work demand has increased exponentially & resourcing has lagged well behind.

The people have spoken and it looks like the "People's Front of Judea" have won. It looks like the Mosque in Nazza won't be going ahead. A big Dan Murphys gets the approval in Casey though.   |

Mate, Nursing salaries have increased way more than the EBA increase rates due to a number of different disguises over the last 2 EBA's. Don't be disingenuous about it.

I'm not being disingenuous about it. All I know is that we got a 2.5% pay increase with a little more top up - peanuts for the work I do, the conditions I work under & the responsibilities I have.
