I never knew of the Hogan tape, I originally thought it was against WWE for his sacking.

Probably a good idea. Seems Hulk has accepted he was wrong in what he said, or at least in part.
Gawker claims there was was something omitted from the trial that suggest Hulk knew he was being filmed. Though I guess the release of the film was still not needed by his 'friend' Bubba.

Why do the yanks always award ridiculous amounts.
I'm sorry but Hulk Hogan isn't exactly a beacon of virtue and no one would be surprised if he didn't make some dodgy porno and release it to keep himself slightly relevant and in the media eye in order to earn some coin.
LOL it's Hulk Hogan FFS more a caricature than a man and his reputation would hardly be harmed by this video.
I wouldn't expect anything less to be honest.
