I am with the optimistic crowd - Pies to finish 4th.

Although there are 12 teams with a real chance of finals footy the other top 4 teams include WA teams and Dorks.

Pies pip the rest with an exciting brand of hard tackling and creative footy.

Pies entertaining brand of footy will bring the crowds back to footy in 2016 - let the show begin!

Pies to finsh IVth

Play away in the first final and against the odds WIN

Play the next final at the MCG and WIN

Play a Preliminary final at the MCG and .. WIN

Unbelievable, play in a Grand Final in October again and . just WIN.

The euphoria, the ecstasy, "Collingwood rules the world again and Nathan Buckley fulfils his destiny" and gets the Premiership hes dreamed about and so richly deserves.

Dane Swan wins the Norm Smith medal kicking V goals in the Grand Final.

We are all so HAPPY!

Its a nice dream, but it is impossible to think it would play out like that.

Why I hear you ask?

Well, when we win the away final against the odds, as ou say, we would get a bye in week 2 of the finals and therefore we wouldn't have that second final on the G. Instead, we'd go straight to the prelim!

Everything else seems about right.

Well I hope the AFL captains are bad judges. Based on their survey response to the following question they (effectively) think we're going to finish about 12th.

"Which seven other clubs do you think can make this year's top eight?"

Fremantle (17), Geelong (17), Hawthorn (17), West Coast (17), Sydney Swans (14), Port Adelaide (12), Richmond (7), North Melbourne (6), GWS (6), Western Bulldogs (6), Adelaide (4), Collingwood (3)

This is the smoking gun that finally proves there is a serious recreational drug problem in the AFL community.

I've looked closely at the draw and assuming we have our best 22 available for 75% of the season I see us with 12/13 wins high would put us right on the border of the 8 maybe just out of it depending on %
I think our serious tilt will come from 2017 onwards its 2018 being IMO our cherry ripe season
If we improve our kicking, our new combinations in and around the midfield gel, our backline isn't constantly under the pump and our forward line shares the work load around we could do anything
Oh and those who said our midfield is below others I would argue I think that's our real strength

5th by % over 6th

Though I'd prefer to do an Arsenal and come fourth

By that I suspect you mean too many supporters using rec drugs and thus have a distorted sense of reality.

have counted 12-13 wins. it might be enough to get a spot in the eight. still can't see us beating too many of the top four teams and it's 50/50 with teams around our stage of development or slightly ahead of us.

Top 4 at the end of Home and Away

Losing the preliminary final to eventual premiers (probably Hawthorn)

I think 4-10 is our range and if pushed to nominate a H&A finish I'd go with 7th and I think our tough contested footy bodes well for finals.

I'll take 8th.

Gonna be a super competitive year you would think.

To me it looks like there is a pretty well defined/likely bottom 6:
- Saints, Demons, Crows, Lions, Essendon, Carlton

There is also a highly likely top 3:
- Freo, Hawks, Eagles

So there's 9 teams left to make up 4th to 12th:
- Bulldogs, North, Tigers, Port, GC, GWS, Swans, Cats and Pies
