The qualifying period is over 10 matches. Not the last 3.

Why do you have to be a pain in the butt at times Donny?

Yes we all know it is how you play the whole season but the Bushrangers have been disappointing in the last 3 games, surely you agree?

Vics have recovered dramatically - they are now 5/60 and if they can just eke out a double-century partnership from White and Christian, that should just about see them over the line and into the final.

Chill, Ken. Smile

What I wrote is true, is it not ?

I certainly DO agree with your last comment. As a fan of Victoria for 58 years, I've been hugely disappointed, but, before this last round, they were still on top of the ladder. To me, at least on numbers, that makes them the best team, up to that point.

The Vics are 7/155. Still requiring 114. White is still there on 57. His plan (if he has one) looks to be to get through the new ball and make a dash at the end (29 overs to get the runs, so I suppose there's plenty of time but his strike rate is 36.3, at the moment, so it'll likely require a real charge). To put the task in context, the 7th wicket partnership was 35 from just over 20 overs.

A draw will keep the Vics in second place. Looks like that is what White is after!

Thanks, Ken. I had no idea what they were trying to achieve but they have drawn, with White 97 not out.

Yep. FANTASTIC innings from Cam.

In the last, say 6 overs, he had to decide to hit out for a possible win (and hosting rights for the final) but to risk losing because, although Holland can hold the willow, Ahmed is a dead set bunny.

It was to bat for a draw and head to Adelaide for the final or all or nothing to try for the win. To fail in that goal was to gift NSW the hosting rights for the final. Not on, Blues. Smile

More thoughts.

White, Wade, Stoinis, Christian, Tremain and Boland played their hearts out for the draw, esp. starting the day at 3/20.

I'm extremely pleased for Cam. Long time skipper for the Bushies but down on form and was 12th man in some games, playing in only 4 of the 10 qualifying matches, with the younger Stoinis and Handscomb being preferred.
