We be lucky to get whithin 5 goals of the Cats Tommorow

i think we will win by 36 points.

So you think we're a 3 goal better side without Moore than Dave does with Moore...

The Cats have said they are building a team to peak in the second half of the season. They may have selected more senior players tonight, but like us, they went on a major recruiting drive at the end of last season. So I expect them to try a few different combinations tonight, particularly with regards to the talls they recruited. Their midfield tonight does look fairly ordinary when you take out Dangerfield, so we should be able to match it in the centre and at the stoppages. We may not win, but I think we will take it up to them. Not confident though that we will win by more than a couple of goals.

It has been nearly 6 months since our last
competitive match.
Can't wait, the beer is in the fridge,
the missus has been warned not to talk
to me during the game, and the dog will
be tied up down the back yard so my yelling
doesn't disturb the mutt!
Bring it on!

Without Cloke,Moore,Elliott and Howe,it's very much a B grade forward line for us.Hopefully, the younger players like DeGoey and Ramsay will shine tonight, although it is a shame about Darcy Moore not playing.I was looking forward to seeing him play tonight.

So Moore won't play then as Don't want to Risk him at the Start of the Pre-Season Games:

Quote:
Emerging forward Darcy Moore (knee soreness) is also under an injury cloud and is unlikely to face the Cats on Friday night.

Not too bothered by the result, I'm just looking forward to seeing how the young guys and new recruits perform tonight.

Hopefully we see something to get excited about for the rest of the season. Good to have footy back!

Good to see the kids go around tonight, especially Phillips, really liked what I saw of him in the intra club.

It's not a bad team we are putting out but compared to the cats it's hard to see us winning.

It starts now anyway, winning doesn't count until that first night in Sydney though.

Would it be a stretch to say that any players who don't tow-the-line tonight, can count themselves out for round 1?

Slight correction, Wyatt isn't an international rookie, he's a category B rookie.

We might have got him from a US uni but he's a Melbourne boy, we're able to directly list him as a cat B because he hadn't been registered with an Aussie Rules club at any level for at least 3 years. Same category as we used to pick up Keeffe IIRC and the same as is used for international rookies.

So, international rookies are Cat B rookies, but not all Cat B rookies are internationals. Wink
