I haven't looked at the proosals in depth, but imho senate voting reform is long overdue, and anything that gets rid of preference harvesting is a good thing.

Without going into detail, looks good on the surface.

Nominating 1-6 above the line means the voters preference gets used without having to number all the boxes below the line and gets rid of the dodgy preference deals.
