So there's three blokes (poms) at work that have surprisingly got into the AFL. They've learnt the rules and have really made an effort to watch games.
The game is also now broadcast on BTSports2 (A channel that we get at work, and I have at home).
A coupe of Fridays ago, they went home with the intention to research and pick a team to follow by Monday.... And I was not allowed to influence their decision.
The "conundrum" is that they've picked Sydney, Bulldogs and West Coast as the teams they want to follow. Now, I know this could be much worse, so having Essendon and Carlton in average positions right now is even better.
So do I spread the AFL love and let them follow their chosen clubs, or do I sway them down the Collingwood road? _________________ A Goal Saved Is 2 Goals Earned! |

You know the answer to your own question.
They could later take legal action against you for neglect & omission by not assisting them with their muddle headed & knuckle-brained choices.
You have a responsibility _________________ “I even went as far as becoming a Southern Baptist until I realised they didn’t keep ‘em under long enough” Kinky Friedman |

Collingwood is not an evangelical religion.
You're either born into it or you marry into it.
We don't do conversions. |

Most of the time that would be correct.
However, there's always a lost tribe of Magpie supporters that with assistance can be shown their inner yet unrevealed true shining path to Salvation & Magpie land _________________ “I even went as far as becoming a Southern Baptist until I realised they didn’t keep ‘em under long enough” Kinky Friedman |

I don't understand why the afl don't have a channel like foxfooty and give it free to any cable network across the world.
With the internet give the same channel free but have a time delay or whatever.
It is important to promote the game worldwide.
It can't be done unless the free media is embraced. _________________ we don't eat our own at collingwood we just allow them to foul our nest. |

Remind them that there's only 2 types of football supporters in Australia.....Collingwood supporters and those who wish they were Collingwood supporters. The choice is theirs. |

We'll be spanking the Swans and Weagles for a prolonged period shortly, not sure on Flogs, so let them run with their selections and you can say "I told you so" or "suck sh*t". _________________ "The night is a very dark time for me" Chaz Michael Michaels |

Probably would have been a straightforward choice for them if you were working in Newcastle,Grimsby or Port Vale.
"They've learnt the rules". Have you warned them they change the rules from week to week. |

You have a duty of care to them
If you saw a child about to drink some bleach you would stop them
If a drunk fell asleep on a railway line you would move them
It follows that if they are thinking about a team you must help them _________________ Carlscum 120 years being cheating scum |

I've got a couple of Irish mates who upon arriving in our fair country decided to take in an AFL game and support the winner of that contest. Sadly for them, that was Carlton. I do enjoy reminding them that the Scum were quite a competitive outfit before gaining the full benefit of the luck of the Irish these lads contribute. |
