I've followed World cricket since 1958 and ODIs since they started and that match and the win was one of the best I've ever seen.

I mean, even DTM was impressed. Smile

Highlights: The six hitting from Guptil, Williamson and, late in the innings, Santner.
The tailwag by NZ to get the total to 280 odd when the Aussies looked like only having to chase 230 or so.
Both Khawaja and Warner began with sublime, first ball boundaries.
Their opening p'ship brought the ask down from the needed near run-a-ball to under 5.
Warner's 6 from the fastest ball of the day and the one over point.
The Caps' fightback, when they took 4/22.
The boundary catch by Milne was incredible.
The wonderful Marsh/Hastings p'ship, to steady the ship and then win the game.
The maturation of 'project player', Mitch Marsh.
Hastings' innings. His clean hitting was a joy to behold. Looked a real batsman.

I realise this was an ODI but Hasta wouldn't be out of place in the Test team - batting at #8 and as first change bowler. Esp. as the present #6 is Mitch Marsh.
