Don't normally agree with you but you are spot on with this. Where's our great media centre they keep banging on about, would love a full time gig in that role, do bugger all and get paid for it.

Less is best at Collingwood.
Let the winning do the talking.
If we are winning and playing exciting footy there is no need for a media department, just need one bloke telling all journos to stop trespassing.

its the pre-season and there footballers. whats there to talk about other than training and some other media base BS. the only thing worth reading about are other supporters training reports.
what do you want dtm, some shower room scene in video or balmy telling us what he ate for morning tea.

It's not been easy to cover up Buck's errors in the box or Perty's grandiose top-4 calls.
The media department has been flat out looking for spot fires to put out.
But now Hine has assembled this master list with one or 2 Coaches' Calls being the exception, we are ready to fill the G again and get membership levels back up to record levels.

| Not sure what more they need to be telling us. I'm just as happy not to be getting any news stories about players flashing there packages about on social media, or training injuries. Surely an occasional fluff piece through the normal media channels is all we need. |

The Roos and bears are paupers desperate for publicity to sell memberships, the cows are trying to keep people positive after a horrible year with the death of Walsh so you can understand them being very active off season.
I've been irritated a few times with the lack of Collingwood pre season media but I'd rather be flying under the radar than be the headlines for off field issues so I can deal with it.
I appreciate the training reports from spectators as they are pure observations with no spin, and positive spin is pretty much all you'd get from clubs in pre season anyway.
