David Schwartz who seems to get some pretty accurate PieMail, has forecast that the leadership group will not include Travis Cloke or Tyson Goldsack, but will include Taylor Adams.

Highly highly confident that Mr Adams will lead us one day on the biggest stage including a cup raising ceremony to last for months.

Personally I'm not too worried about who is nominated as chief coin tosser (Pendlebury, cleary), deputy coin tossers and assistant deputy coin tossers.

Leadership is about actions on and off the field and, more specifically in a footy context, setting the team example and appropriately reacting to adverse circumstances.

No problem with Pendles as captain as he really does lead by example out there.

From what I'm seeing and hearing about Tay Adams I reckon he's a monty for the leadership group. I reckon his first year at CFC was the making of him. He was made to absolutely earn his spot. He came from a GWS side that got spanked every week and now he's had a taste of winning but no finals yet. The kid is desperate and I reckon he has set the bar high and demands the same from his team mates.

This career path is uncannily like someone else I know.

made to earn it at his first year in black n white, then spit a webbing after a regular run with consistence in the firsts.
had a fantastic 2015 pre-season which was the making of the man and now with another pre-season and confidence beside he is primed to show what he's destined to be.

Yes Adams has what we have been crying for - lets call it Grunt !

If u throw this news in with BigFooty goss, i think we have a locked in leadership four:

Pendles, Sidey, Browny, Adams

Chances to:
McCaffer, Crisp and Treloar

Nobody has bit from my earlier post but I was referring to the similarity to Bucks. He could do worse for a role model. Hopefully though, he learns earlier that not everyone can be the same.

CCigar is spot on and the "chance" who is locked in is Caff. Apparently regarded as the MVP of pre season.

The Caff does look in cracking shape.

He played so well in the drawn GF and would love to see him step right up and keep a 450k recruit or two out of the side.

His commitment to the cause would never have been questioned and if it has gone up a level or 2 it bodes very well for us.

Great News !

Caff isn't in our best 22 so Bucks needs to avoid a repeat of 2013/2014 when we put messrs Clinton Young and Lachie Keefe into the leadership group with little game time achieved.

Agree with that comment but you also have to be sure you are grooming leaders as well. Not just relying on the more experienced guys who may not necessarily be great leaders.

Hence the Adams selection I'd assume. Get that kicking percentage up lad will be an absolute gem.

dunno about that (if fit), a proven tagger, can play forward and mid, he's has more than one string to his bow. modern coaches love a utility.

Would like to see Elliott in the leadership group… If he can take that next step it could be the key difference in making the Pies a genuine finals contender. Some extra responsibility I suspect would be good for him.

Caff can play forward role this year.
We broke him by putting him as defensive stopper in midfield and also lost a lot of midfield flair.

Lead up half-forward like he was so good at in 2010 and he is a big asset.
