The banned players could be forgiven (by Essendon) for wanting to finish their careers or finish their careers elsewhere.
Would any of the players be a good fit for us in 2017?

NO.
WTF. These "poor" players are of zero integrity. They are not victims. They are cheats. Cheats in denial, but so was Lance Armsstrong.
These guys got off light. Our guys got two full years and fully cooperated.
These peanuts get 11 months for systematically doping?! Wtf?!
They lied to the government and the AFL over and over and over. Collectively over a 1000 times according to someone at Bigfoot (failure to declare on asada forms).
Liars, cheats, manipulator and more than a little dim witted.
No thank you.

^Yeah. "Playing dumb" was gratefully swallowed by the Kangaroo Court AFL tribunal, not so much by the independent Switzerland based C.A.S.

Talent wise yes, but realistically no chance to squeeze Heppell into our cap at present, although no doubt Sydney or Whoerthorn would "find a way".
Hurley would have to take a paycut for the honour of wearing our stripes.

I'd take em both in a heart beat. They might be happy to play for a club that doesn't do that shit to their players and play for less to play finals, something Essendon ain't going to be doing for a while
