Huffington Post?

Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes

Said the man that would argue that Brietbart and Info Wars are the only true purveyors of the unadulterated truth, or is that truthiness or Alternate Facts ... to quote Kelly-Anne Conway.
Those racist quotes are not made up by the Huffington post*, they are a VERY small example of comes out of his mouth. Just a few months ago at one of his Ego pep-rallies he asked the rhetorical question "what are we going to do about all the Latinos trying to come across the boarder?" An audience member yelled out "SHOOT EM!" T-rump smiled, sadly shook his head and rejoined "you can only get away with that in the Florida Pan-handle!" (big smiling grin from el Presidente as he laps up the applause!) I don't know what more proof you want he and his followers are a racist thugs but I strongly suspect you don't want to be convinced NO MATTER what the evidence! (and despite what your signature says about educated minds, your mind rejects everything that doesn't conform with your Reclaim Australia Mein-set. Your rolling eyes are an example of not being able to discredit the message so you go to plan B, Discredit the messenger. An educated mind wouldn't stoop that low!

I notice quite a few T-rump apologists are blaming mental health issues and violent video games facts NOT guns for these mass killings. The video blame is laughable (the whole world has access to the same Video games sans the weekly mass shootings) but do I agree that the Mental Health issues go right to the Top of the NRA/G.O.P tree!!

I must have missed where someone blamed video games, and if you're referring to Pies4Shaw's comment about mental illness you completely missed the sarcasm because if he's a Trump apologist then the mode of transportation I've invented that is powered by Unicorn flatulence will make me a billionaire.

According to T-rump & CO video games and mental illness are the official scapegoats for what happened at El Paso and Dayton. Two days later he also included White Supremacy and racial hate but you have to take that sudden about face (like everything else he says) with a Dead Sea sized grain of salt and wonder which Whitehouse staffer managed to bend his arm to do this though I suspect it has more to do with not alienating nearly everybody in next years election and less about trying to heal a fractured Nation! When you stack it up against with everything else hes said about just about every minority in the good Oil USA, his sudden interest in video games and his lifting of restrictions Obama placed on the Mentally ill getting guns you have to wonder what social and cultural Cul de Sac this mentally ill narcissistic self promoter is leading the world down! There are no excuses for excusing the behavior of this dangerous madman!

Long but informative article on the Christchurch killer, delving into his background and how he became essentially radicalised.

Quite a bit of detail about 4chan and 8 chan and their role in cultivating this kind of beliefs.

Samantha Bee: ‘It’s the guns, stupid’
It’s been mere days since the back-to-back mass shootings in El Paso, Texas, and Dayton, Ohio, that killed 31 people last weekend, and the nation is “so sick of living in fear for no goddamn good reason”, said Samantha Bee on Full Frontal, especially when “it’s very clear what the problem is.”

That problem, Bee explained, is guns – though you wouldn’t know from the president, who said in a national address on Monday that mental illness pulled the trigger, not the gun.

Bee called bullshit: “The gun did put the bullets into people. Mental illness did not.”

Bee reminded the audience that the shooter in El Paso, who posted a screed condemning Hispanic immigrants shortly before opening fire in a Walmart, had no known history of mental illness. “Being a racist monster isn’t a mental illness – in fact, you can be one and be a very stable genius,” Bee said, in reference to one of Trump’s most famous self-aggrandizing tweets.

“Painting mass shooters as mentally ill is unfair to the vast majority of mentally ill people who aren’t stocking up on killing machines,” Bee continued. “It would be like if I assumed that you were all feeble-minded scrotes who could only manage an erection while stroking a gun,” she added over a photo of Trump and the Fox News host Steve Doocy.

“Stop trying to make this problem more complex than it is,” she urged. “We know what causes mass shootings and you do too: it’s the guns, stupid.”

“Republicans can’t even consider gun legislation because they’re afraid the NRA will attack them, which is a really horrible reason to let innocent people die,” Bee said. “They are endangering all of America to appease a group that has fewer than 5 million members,” or just 1.5% of the total US population.

And yet, Bee concluded, we continue to entertain complex solutions for a simple problem. “Trump and the Republicans have laid out a clear solution to end gun violence: first, cure the mental illness they invented. Then, get rid of video games, the internet, transgender people, same-sex marriage, drag queens, marijuana, kneeling athletes and Barack Obama, and while we’re at it, all embrace Jesus Christ as our savior.”

Must be cold in Ballarat to come up with that conclusion that following the increase of right wing male supremacist violence since Trump was elected. You've been getting lessons from Shane Warne about spin.

The alt-right and Nazis don't even like Trump. They see him as too pro Jewish. The hard right movement largely grew under Obama as a backlash to extreme leftist ideology, much how the real Nazis gained traction on the back of communist violence in Berlin.

73 murders in a country of 300 million that sees 17,500+ murders a year is statistically meaningless. These aren't even terrorist actions, these are just murders done by people who are apparently extreme right wing politically. Half that were motivated by the ideology according to your article. Like I keep trying to tell you people, there is no great White supremacist or Nazi movement, they're a very small group of social misfits. Skinheads in Australia in the 70s and 80s were more prevalent than so called 'Nazis' today.

You're white and male.

By comparison, Muslims have killed over 600 people this year, and that's just in the terrorist attacks.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Islamist_terrorist_attacks

Humans are complex critters and society as it is provides the platform for people to become radicalised in all different kinds of beliefs. You start thinking a certain way, explore that online and find a community of people who agree with you whether you be left, right or twisted.

Trying to land blame for the worlds ills on one specific demographic is a way overly simplistic answer to a complex question.

It's interesting to look at the actual report that the article references.
https://www.adl.org/media/11894/download

About Nikolas Cruz who's high school killing spree (17 murdered) makes up 1/4 of the 73 (claimed) white supremacist murders. The report notes that he had white supremacist sympathies but says:
"Cruz’s shooting spree does not appear to have been conducted as a specifically white supremacist attack."
So, if you post mean things about Jews but go murder a bunch of kids at your school because you don't like them, the ADL classes it as a white supremacist murder.

Two other incidents, that the report lists as white supremacist attacks, could easily be identified as islamist murders:

"White supremacist Devon Arthurs allegedly shot to death two of his roommates for making fun of his recent conversion to Islam."

"Following the stabbings, Johnson allegedly told police he killed them because of his “Muslim faith."

The report does list a few murders that are clearly linked to white supremacy but only lists a handle of examples. I wonder if that's because their actual link to white supremacy is as tenuous as the Cruz, Arthurs and Johnson examples?

p.s. Even one white supremacist murder is more than enough. However, it should be made clear that organisations like the ADL and the SPLC have an agenda and, like all activist organisations (both on the left and right) are happy to twist the truth to fit their narrative.
