Good to see players like Frosty and Ox stick with their current numbers. |

Yep, agree. Thought it was stupid when they got Elliott to change to 5.
On the other hand, I'm not a fan of players keeping their number when they change clubs, so I would have preferred Howe to take another one. _________________ kill for collingwood! |

I'm happy with those new numbers. Interesting to see Frost retain number 45. _________________ | 1902 | 1903 | 1910 | 1917 | 1919 | 1927 | 1928 | 1929 | 1930 | 1935 | 1936 | 1953 | 1958 | 1990 | 2010 | 2023 | |

He's got a thing about the #8. All the other numbers with 8 in them were gone except 38, which was obviously what he also wore at Melb. _________________ A Goal Saved Is 2 Goals Earned! |

The recent convention of awarding the 35 to the first player drafted adds an interesting conundrum doesn't it? I can't help look over that list and wonder which number Sier will be moving to next year... ie who is likely to be vacating their number?
I like the better players to wear the lower numbers but there's not much room opening up ahead of #35 for him to step into. If he's a gun he could end up sliding to a temporary number for another year or so before moving into a low number when it opens up like Elliot did by taking the long road round from #35 to #5. Like roar has said above I don't like multiple number changes either. |
