Very Disappointed the Club took them back in this Rookie Drafed

Yeah me too. I mean why draft people who kick disabled kids, who rape pillage & plunder? What is the world coming to Razz Wink

Both from Redlands and about the same age - though could be just flying the Redlands flag.

I am really happy that Lachie and Josh have been resigned. To me, it is an example of Side-by-side care and wonderful support of a great Club that I have passionately been following for 57 years. Many kids around this age inevitably make stupid mistakes. How are they ever to learn if someone does not offer them an opportunity for restitution. I am 100% sure we will get the absolute 'best' out of both of them in 2017 as they are both willingly to pay back the Club for its extended personal support and for standing by them because of a 'one off' situation that could have had far worse, if not disastrous, consequences, for them if we had completely cut our ties with them. Will eventually become educators for the rest of the Comp.

Note Redland has named their rising star award the Thomas/Oxley award.

I wonder if they will sneak in /Smith at the end of that now.

does the order with which they were picked suggest the club rated one more valuable than the other?

looks like it. Really wanted to get Keefe. Then get Thomas later on if he is still around.

That's how I feel too. Thomas is a good midfielder but we have a lot of good midfielders. Keeffe is a very good tall defender and both of our best tall defenders have had injury plagued careers. We need Keeffe. Thomas is a bonus.

Best of luck to them, I hope they do well, and can put this whole episode behind them.

A bit of that, but it also has to do with demand, more clubs will be interested in a versatile 204cm KPP than a 176cm mid. I think we wanted them both back, had to go earlier on Keeffe because he would be sought after.

Hmm, great news, and can they both play next season, or still serve a years penance yet ? Confused
