| Good to see expectations are a little more realistic this year. I for one think we'll just miss, or just make the finals. It won't be a fail if we miss, as long as we see consistency from the players, and a solid game plan from the box. |

Funny that! Last year I predicted that Collingwood would miss out on the finals and I was in the vast minority. This time I predict that Collingwood will make the finals next year and I feel that I'm still among the minority!!!

I will be very disappointed if we miss finals again. 5-8 is realistic, but the diff between 5-6 and 7-8 is to win a final.

I think it will be a success if we make the finals. To me winning a final will be a bonus.

MAGPIE LAZZA MEETS THE STRANGER
A stranger came to Bendigo town
To skite and brag you see
I’m the biggest skite around he says
There’s none that can skite like me
I’ve bragged ‘round here and bragged ‘round there
I’ve bragged just everywhere
But before my bragging days are done
I’ve got to clear the air
I’ve heard about this Magpie Lazza
From the Bendigo Collingwood Supporters Club
They say he is the biggest skite of all
From Darwin right down to Koo Wee Rup!
So Lazza met the stranger
Then sat down to hear him out
He had no doubts at all
That he could win this verbal bout
The locals backed Lazza Magpie
They backed him to a tee
They knew full well when it came to skite,
There’s none that could skite like he
So off the stranger went
To prove his worth at brag
He knew he’d walk away at the end
Once more with the Champions tag
I can beat anyone at anything
I can run and jump and ski
I went twelve rounds with a boxing champ
A heavyweight named Ali
I took ten wickets against the Poms
And scored that many tons
And kicked ten goals when we won the flag
To easily beat the Dons
At the Olympic Games I cleaned ‘em up
Won gold medals by the score
It didn’t matter if I had to box or swim
Or wrestle on the floor
I rode the winner of the Melbourne Cup
Was a rodeo champ as well
And I could’ve won the London marathon
As sure as I could tell
Now Magpie just let him go
He just sat and sucked it in
It really was an experience
To hear a man like him
Tell me, said the stranger
Where did you get your name
Have you got some kind of fondness
For birds and wild game
Oh no said Magpie that’s not for me
I’m a football fan for good
The Magpie comes for sure my friend
From the good old Collingwood
Just then the stranger hit the deck
He went down without a word
How could he be sucked in like this
It really is absurd
He’s travelled ‘round a bit this man
From Perth to North Ringwood
And he knows for sure that he can’t out skite
A fan of good old Collingwood
My skiting days have come to an end
I’ll admit right now and it’s true
Cause if you’re a true blue Collingwood fan

Just quietly I did predict that we'd be out of finals by 2014 back in late 2011(for obvious reasons). But I never dreamed that the prediction would come true AND no one would care!!!!

Good on you 35. Yeah I was given a hard time by Jackcass for last year's final missing prediction so I'm way too scared to provoke him again!!

When considering that nearly 90% of those that have voted so far have us in the 8, it would be disastrous for both Bucks and the club if we miss out.
A second half fade out in 2016 would mean the beginning of the end you would think.

Pies are due for a big year!
Bux will have his best year and will watch his young guns bond and combine grit with some class.
Our marking forwards will be a major threat with Elliot getting AA, joining Pendles… and a surprise but worthy selection in Varcoe. With De Goey, Moore and Maynard celebrated as young guns of the comp!
Our Backs prove a tough solid unit with plenty of depth.
With a game style suited to finals footy the Pies to go to the big dance… where anything is possible. 
Our Prez Eddie will be celebrated with talk of a statue…
