It would certainly remove a central point for them to organise around. It would be kind of like cutting the head off the snake.

The trouble is, the focus could simply shift to other unstable regions in the world like Libya. So, yeah, I don't think this problem is going anywhere soon.

There be a Chance Anonymous would Help ISIS

A very slim chance, it seems they are trying to take them down, getting all the info about them and who are members and where they are can help bring them down if they can get all that info and if that info is around.

This would be the only way to begin to know how we can stop them, and prevent them from hiding. Right now aside from a few known ones there are many out there we have no idea where they are or who.

Well Glad they are doing it. They are the Biggest Weapon that the Allies have vs ISIS

Anonymous is going after ISIS.

Weren't they going to 'take them down' last year?

Unless acne is contagious, I don't think IS have too much to fear from these wannabe vigilantes.

If the best they can manage is to disrupt their social media campaign that would be a help.

I can't picture any of the geeks from Anonymous turning up in Syria in SWAT gear tearing ISIS a new one somehow, Razz Laughing

1.Invest heavily in security at home. That includes border security. Some liberties may have to be sacrificed, as we are in a kind of war that is killing our children and likely to go on doing so. Compared to the liberties sacrificed in past wars, this is a small price to pay.

2. Place Islamic observance in our society under state control. The usage of Islam as a platform for political purposes - as opposed to religious and spiritual - should result in deregistration of Imams and closure of mosques or schools.

3. Meanwhile, support local forces that want to fight ISIS (esp. the peshmerga)with drone strikes and weapons. This strategy degraded Al Qaeda's capability and I expect it will do so for IS, in time. Patience is a policy and technology is our strength.

4. Place strong diplomatic pressure on Sunni countries in the Middle East to cease funding ISIS and other insurgency groups

5. Strengthen sanctions against any abuse or intimidation of individual Muslims in our society.

Unless of course they manage to find out who the people in ISIS and where most are hidden and send it to those who can do something about it, then no they've got nothing to really worry about.

Just their sites and accounts being shut down and such.

Maybe these computer geeks can just keep sending them pictures of naked ladies.

Isn't there something in their religion that states they must gouge out their own eyes if they see a pair of boobs or a shaven haven?

If not, they can send the pics to me.
