B: S Burns S Wakelin J Clement
HB: M McGuane N Maxwell H Shaw
C: G Brown N Buckley D Millane
HF: A Didak A Rocca D Swan
F: P Daicos T Cloke C Tarrant
F: D Monkhorst S Pendlebury T Shaw
ICH: D Beams, S Morwood, S Russell, P Licuria
EMERG: S Sidebottom, G Crosisca, G Wright

Am sure others shall highlight alternatives but my criteria was for sustained excellence for those whose careers who started in the 1990's and acknowledgement to those who ended their careers in the early 1990's whom shaped our glorious flag in 1990!

As much as I love him, Tarrant doesn't deserve to be in this team. I don't think he ever fulfilled his potential at the Pies.

And Presti is way ahead of Waken as FB.

I'd also put Wright on the wing, and Gav Brown replaces Beams on the pine.

Good feedback. I guess my view on some of the above points are:

* Gavin Brown had Graham Wright covered and had 8 top years on wing

* Wright was an excellent wingman (1990 especially) but did taper a tad, got the illness, temporarily retired and was done at 29

* Presti: my view was that he was a limited footballer who invariably got towelled up Riewoldt, Fevola, Hawkins and co.

* Reid: yet to fulfil his potential (hope he does)

* Slotted Russell ahead of Francis due to greater "consistency" over 9 years

* Fraser's body inhibited potential being realised

* Tarrant: he was the one I "debated with" but for "3 vote" best on ground performances in a tough era when Forwards started getting cramped for space, he snuck in.

Brown was a very good player, but I reckon he gets overrated a bit by most fans, Wright was the better player IMO, Brown was a jack of all trades type, master of none, I'd still have him in the side though, probably on the bench due to his versatility, Sidders misses out for mine.

Shit. I didn't realise I had.

OK scrap balance, Brown in on the bench for Francis.

I know Fraser won't be on a lot of lists but MM ruined him. He was still a great player for a long time but his potential got capped early on.

What did Mick do to Fraser that Buckley is t doing to Grundy? Fraser was a ruckman, it's just that he wasn't very good at it.

Fraser was a slender body that MM crucified by playing him 1st ruck. He should have held him back and worked him off the field until his body developed more. Then we may have seen the best of him. By the time his body matured it was already half busted.

Grundy is a mature body in a young man. He still has maturing to do but at the same age Fraser was a stick.
