I think I saw swoop42 at the draft last night. He walked up behind all top 10 draftees and was whispering in there ear like the little odd man in the original willy wonkas chocolate factory.
If my lip reading skills haven't diminished I think he was saying "it's ok son in 2yrs we will save you from this just keep dreaming magpies"
Was either that or "don't take any chocolates from uncle Dyso especially if he invites you to kings cross" |

Well what can I say to that? Busted!
4ft 2" Taiwanese jelly wrestler was in line with club policy of drafting midgets who can't tackle.
45yr old Thai lady boy was to be the steak-knives in the deal.
But it all fell over on final day of trading, as we had already parted with all our first and second round picks, thus unable to make it happen...

Well, you might have to check the security vision... the only chocolates I tend to distribute are Maltesers, M&Ms, the odd Mars Bar or Kit-kats.
And they are employed to temp semi-desperate single-mums in their 30s, who are the only ones gullible enough to fall for my bullshit routine.
You sure it wasn't Silvagni hanging around the ex-GWS Oompa Loompas, poaching them en-masse to Pigs-arse Park with Wonka Bars and the promise of a Golden Ticket? They'll have to settle for Golden Showers.
And swoop42? He's untouchable around this side o'town; just like Blair.

Am I the only person seriously worried about him? It's not normal for a regular poster to just vanish for 6 weeks without warning.
Does anyone know Swoop in real life? I think a few people mentioned seeing the VFL with him.

I think he might have been caught in one of the other forums on Nicks - some of those threads in Vic Park Tavern for example can take considerable time to get through it all!

In all seriousness I'm not the messiah but am an animal and naughty boy and due to sudden and complicated personal issues this will be first and last post for quite sometime.
Thanks to all those who have shown genuine concern over my absence.
For the rest of you, the majority who didn't, you can get stuffed. LOL.
Before i go I'll leave you with a few thoughts on what's transpired since my last post.
Firstly to Leigh and Dave Matthews, KB and Leppa.

Welcome to the club Adam, James and Jeremy.
As for the national draft of those who were left at 32 Hibberd was probably the name I was hoping to be called out and like most of you was left scratching my head when the name Sier was named instead.
Who the hell is Sier would have echoed throughout the living rooms of Australia at this moment I'm sure but the more i discovered about him the more I liked this bold selection.
Watching highlights of him he reminds me somewhat of Patrick Cripps or even a Jake Stringer as that big and powerful midfielder/half forward.
He's bloody raw and one of the youngest of his draft year so will take time but it's a calculated gamble on a player who has the traits and potential to be better than the more safer bets that still remained.
The fact the dogs were sniffing around him also is also cause for optimism as i rate there
recruitment in recents years, there head recruiter seems to think along the same lines as Hine in terms of players that appeal and they've had success with similar types to Sier in Bont and Stringer (albeit top 10 picks).
As for the rest well it's pretty much a crap shoot beyond 50 in any draft year so it's very much wait and see though Phillips and Crocker have some claims and seem decent late pick ups.
One thing is for sure we've loaded up on midfielders and multi dimensional players which is a reflection on the reduced rotations and success of Hawthorn i guess.
I thought we might have taken a small crumbing forward across the national or rookie drafts but alas no and it's safe to say we're no longer a team of midgets:wink:
