Ellis Yoeman is far superior to Young. Have a look at our game against Adelaide at the start of 15 and you will see what he brings to the table. He got injured mid year and didn't get back in as the other Adelaide mids were in the midst of a sustained period of form.
He is a very valuable commodity and if we could extract him from a Kennedy deal it would be gold. |

Not much love for Young over at bigfooty.
A contested ball winner but a poor user of the ball seems to be the line of thinking.
Think he might be a bit of a half back flanker also.
I know Bucks loves these hard nosed types and they have a place but do we really need more of this type? _________________ He's mad. He's bad. He's MaynHARD! |

I'd prefer Yeoman but I'd be choosing between a not really unknown to a not particularly well known. He did play a blinder agin "us" this year. _________________ “I even went as far as becoming a Southern Baptist until I realised they didn’t keep ‘em under long enough” Kinky Friedman |

Yeah, of the 2 I'd probably lean toward Ellis-Yolmen based purely on the fact he has appeared to have greater influence in the games I've seen than Young and appears to have a bit more x-factor which is something we're lacking. |

I think Young is a better fit for our team. A far better runner than CEY who at 94kg is heavy for a mid and seems to lack pace. We've mostly been looking to bring in quality runners through the middle and that's what Young would bring, a similar type to Crisp.
Would note that CEY was drafted by Rendell. _________________ Well done boys! |

Could we make one of these blokes into a good back pocket? We need someone to replace Toovey over time. _________________ " Ohhh Banksy and out comes the Note Book".

If it's going to be a 3 way trade with Collingwood, Melbourne and Port, I'd rather Andrew Moore or Cam O'shea. Aaron Young is a poor mans Toovey. |

Ellis-Yeoman tore us a new one early this year-looked strong in the contest and some leg- didnt see enough more of him to comment further.
Young is a good, honest battler-think Reece Conca (good clubman- prone to brain farts).
I'm with Brenny- would rather Watts- at least there is plenty of upside and then it is a straight swap of unfulfilled talent. |

Yeah he does sound like a bit of a Toovey wannabee.
David is excited by this notion.

Not seeing the Toovey comparison. Young's more of a runner and inside mid than a one on one specialist. Maybe if Toovey played as a mid? But Moore doesn't have the same skating on ice running style.
Anyway, not going to get worked up over these blokes until we are seriously linked to them. At the moment we have some fringe players on the way out and need to look at some in return, I'm sure we'd have more than one or two options depending on where other deals land. _________________ Well done boys! |

I'm not against the idea of Young as Hine though not infallible has a keen eye for diamonds in the rough so we'll back him in.
The only question would be is he the style of player we need?
As for Kennedy I like him, he's got courage and plays with energy around the contest but seemed to take to the field this season in the AFL with a lot of anxiety on his shoulders knowing he needed to impress.
Unfortunately this only served to hamper him and his performances weren't as good as what he had previously displayed.
He's better than that but as a player who is essentially still best suited as a small inside midfielder I can't see a spot for him opening up unless he improves his crumbing and kicking ability forward of centre. _________________ He's mad. He's bad. He's MaynHARD! |
