I'd be very disappointed if we didn't meet with him. Talent wise he's a perfect fit for us and the recent "misdeeds" have been fairly minor with the drug use being in the past. Can't just hand this kind of talent to the Hawks because we're scared of a bit of controversy, we're stronger than that.

Imagine.... Treloar, Aish, Bennell and a goal kicking coach.
If we could come out of trade period with that, then wow!

Brucey, you could be down there at the club life-coaching him yourself, and he'd still be too obsessed with the Columbian Marching Powder.

You have no way of knowing that.
Those photos might have been from a couple of years back but since they were only leaked this season nothing to say he wasn't continuing with that lifestyle during that period.
Actually I'd say there is a good chance he was/is.
The clubs would know more about his off field issues than any of us.
It's very much buyer beware but I could see any team who makes the prelim this season taking a chance. |

Heard all the arguments and I think you're all being too soft. The guy has been given so many chances and doesn't appear capable of turning it around. I don't care how good he is; some players are just not worth the grief. I know plenty will baulk at this, but he'd be absolutely terrible for our brand. Saw him on TV earlier in the year talking about his problems with drink, drugs and night clubs. Like Daniel Kerr, didn't come across as remotely sincere.

This would be a great move. Great player - and if his cocaine gets cut with PEDs, he can keep Lachie and Josh company on the rookie list for a few seasons.

I wonder just how many times this kid has been asked about his desire to get the best out of his football ability ??
Probably about the same number of times he replied '' im absolutely commited to being the best I can''
It doesn't matter how much natural talent you have in this comp, if you don't commit 100 %, you will get passed by someone who has committed fully and very quickly too. |
