A long time since I have seen three kids step up in their first year like these
Darcy Moore
Jordan De Goey
Brendan Maynard
Those have leadership written in big letters

Maynard is a bull... How good was his mark running with the flight of the ball?!
Moore is going to be a star and DeGoey is getting better every game.
Also, big well done to Marley Williams... Hes gone up another cog this year

Agree, my only concern with Marley is his one sidedness. His reading of the play, contested footy and attack on the ball is 1st rate. Not sure it'd work bit if I were coach I would ban him from kicking with his left foot at training and just concentrate on that right.

No doubt Moore is a gun.
Only issue is his kicking but if it is
only half as bad as Cloke then it should be alright.
Maynard is a great kick and strong and tough.
We will see how he goes in the next 2 years.
De Goey is another bull, his kicking was rated highly in
the TAC but he hasn't shown this attribute yet.
He also fumbles every now and then but he has done
very well for a first year player.
I have said all this year that Bux is building a
hard as a cats head team! This is the one thing
that he is working extremely hard at.
You need a tough and hard team to win a flag.
So lets hope he can put the rest of the jig saw puzzle together.

If you think Maynard is a bull (which he is), just wait until we have Abbott smashing packs in our forward line next year. This kid will become known as the raging bull. |

Oh yes Abbott is another hard at the ball kid and nuggety body
2017 when all these current kids (and still Varcoe/Crisp/Levi)
to support will be the year IMO

You know the 1990 team and the 2010 team all had a core of tough players.
So Bux is right on the money with this attribute.

Yes. Looking forward to watching these 3 play 200 games each in the black & white.
The best thing about it - 1 for each area of the ground.
And Maynard's mark running back with the flight was a deadset beauty!!

And young Maynard show, s just how to grab the game by the throat
Run straight at a contest, create a turnover (make opponent spill mar)
Then from that turnover back your judgement and kick a goal.
That, s A grade play IMO
