Massive back down and the Captain has egg on his face. I am amazed how quickly citizens formed a protest and blocked Flinders Street and forced the cancel of the operation. The AFP have been used as pawns in a political campaign and have been made to look like a pack of idiots. To me you don't announce to the world you are going to crackdown on visas in the CBD. You do it as any idiot with a dodgy visa isn't going to go into the CBD after you announce that is what you are going to do. Pulling over cars an checking licences and registrations in Westall Road Springvale would achieve more.

Abbott is an absolute disgrace and the worst PM and the most divisive PM in Australia's history.
