Could be sacked mid-late season if things go pear shaped again next year, you have one more chance Bucks, no ifs or buts, no sunshine and "perceptive fellow" will be able to save you if we miss finals again next year. _________________ Defender...........

No game plan, no structure in 2016 then no Buckley in 2017. One last season to turn it around and demonstrate his worth. _________________ Now Retired - Every Day Is A Saturday |

I would give him a B for the first half of the year, and an F for the second half, giving him an overall score of a D.Clearly not good enough. |

Can you imaging the pressure on Bucks & Eddie if we are not at least 8-3 at the halfway mark next season?
The only thing that can save him, in my opinion, is if we have a Footscray like season. Attractive football to watch, and enough wins to at least put the wind up the top 4. _________________ I hold a cup of wisdom, but there is nothing within. |

If we land Treloar Kruezer & Aish.
Then the pass mark must have risen.
We simply must make the 8 in 2016 or its curtains.
Surely all are in 100% agreement, barring the most horrendous unimaginable disaster to the football club. |

We've won a lousy 2 flags in 58 fu@king years, so if Bucks can't win us a Premiership next year, then surely he has to be given the arse! |

Is improvement on the last 2 years not a big ask for a long extension.
Seems pointless now its done.
Here is where we are at:
78% of a pro-Buckley constituency said that he should make finals at least before receiving an extension.
Yet 2 months on, after arguably one of our best ever recruiting/trading periods Pert and Ed want to lock him away now for another 3 years.
No formal review, nothing to see here - just sign him because why?
Because they know he is a great coach and this is all a methodical rebuilding plan to peak in 2015, no sorry 2016, hang on wait 2017 or 2018 - ok whatever ?!?
Reminder 2 full footy seasons ago it was laid out:
Magpies chief executive Gary Pert said: “I would suggest not only playing in finals for the next three years (2014-2016), but I would expect us to be top-four and winning a premiership during that time.”
Yet the same bloke does not have the confidence to apply a little blowtorch to everyone at the club, in the third year of this period.
Done deal though it seems - super list - could be a solid bet.
Hope so! |

Three year extension... are you serious... wow just f*cking wow... a two year is bad enough (without some solid results... forward movement) but three... that's seriously amazingly blind faith if ever I've seen it.
PS: I voted 10 wins so obviously im not a Bucks 'Hater'... |

They may as well make it 4 given the all-in brazenness of this current proposal. |

Dude, I understand the love, but we have to be serious. It's a professional sport and regardless of what happened with 2010, 2011 and MM, they made the call and so far even though Bucks has been very professional with interviews, after gamers, and the list growing in the right direction etc etc - the _on field_ results haven't really come. The board are starting to look like fools if they continue along this line - turn the corner now or pass the baton. |

I do believe this poll has been edited post publication.
"Give him a contract extension now and reassess at the end of 2017" ??
Mods sorry if I am mistaken.
If I am not please investigate preventing it in the future and reverse the edits. |
