Why not Jeff White is still quite fit isn't he? |
LOL - I remember him getting kicked in the face (or he may have kicked some face) in a ruck contest once. Ruined his sunglass modelling career. |

Yeah I think that was in an elimination final against Geelong. Steven King had a fresh air shot at the footy and kicked Jeff in the face. It was a pretty sickening incident. |

That's right. We have some great ball users in the seconds but Buckley prefers grunt to polished skills. |
That was hardly my point. None of Armstrong, Seedsman, Scharenberg or Young has been playing well enough to justify selection and Oxley was coming back from injury, after playing in the seniors for most of the season. My point was rather that Collingwood has recruited a lot of good users of the ball on Buckley's watch but for the most part they're not doing enough to get into the senior team. |

Here's a short list of who we should be targeting...
Oh, and Danger. |
How many of them are realistically available to be recruited Daz? _________________ Don't confuse your current path with your final destination. Just because it's dark and stormy now doesn't meant that you aren't headed for glorious sunshine! |

I think we have a desperate shortage of KPP's and for that reason I wouldn't even rookie Keeffe and would instead keep him on the senior list. I would also be looking to play White next year as either a tall third forward or as a CHB. So my targets would be Aish not Treloar (just too expensive - wait and see what GWS are demanding). I would go instead for Stewart, Sam Reid, McCarthy, Dixon and any other key forward in the 20-22 age bracket. We also need another key tall back and do whatever we need to do to retain Scharenberg. Keep Oxley and Seedsman as well because of their upside. |

Nah, I don't like my dreams becoming reality. I would hate to be stark bloody naked at an important exam I haven't studied for. _________________ Don't confuse your current path with your final destination. Buckley and the coaching staff need to have more of an open mind when it comes to throwing players in different positions. You just never know what they could bring. Could be the making of him. He's a dangerous player with attributes that not many big guys have. |
Agree. When Tarrant was with us the first time and he had the yips in front of goal I used to say that we should try him down back. We didn't and then he went to Freo and the rest his history. White, much like Taz, has all the physical attributes and is definitely worth trying on the wing which would also allow him to be a handy third man up in the ruck around the ground. |

We need an A grade midfielder with pace, plus a key position player, preferably a forward. Treloar and someone like Howe from the Dees, plus Sam Weideman would be a good outcome.
Of course, I'd settle for Dangerfield. |
