Piesnchess is a bloody great supporter, he will cope!! Deep down he probably knows that the American pie is not quite ready as yet.

Yeah agree. I think Tooves, Maynard, Grundy and Blair are on shaky ground after last week's effort. Maybe even Marley who didn't have the best game but he might just survive I think. |
With Brown and Scharenberg set to return, I expect our 2 most inexperienced defenders in Maynard and Marsh are most likely to be dropped, especially as they both lowered their colours against the Tigers. |
I would look at it a little differently.
Maynard and Marsh were far from our worst last week IMO
Toovey would get a break with Scharenberg replacing him.
Also Frost looks like his struggling a bit don't know if he's just tired or carrying a leg injury but he's lost a little the past few weeks. He has done a marvellous job the past 2 seasons can't remember him missing a game actually.
So leave Marsh in and Brown comes in for Frosty.
Honestly I would love to see 4/5 changes use selection to make a big statement to players now that going forward if you don't follow the team ethos or principles then you don't play senior football.
Fasalo for mine fits that mould. He teases you immensely and looks like delivering but seldom does more than a couple goals and a if only feeling.
Stick with Moore Cloke Reid up forward but tell Cloke to get on his bike and play that high HF type and do not get inside 50 for fear of being shot by a appointed sniper. He kicks better outside the arc anyways plus he can turn onto that huge left boot and get us a quick entry. Use him on the opposite side than Sidey. 2 of Reid, Moore, Elliott play lead up option with th other remaining deep close to goal. Leave Swan/Pendles/DeGoey/Karnezis to play the Cyril type role to float and move around a uncongested forward 50.
Our forward line looks to cramped and easy to defend against lately. Give them space to use there skills. Elliott showed many times if given some space his quick first 6 - 10 steps to get the break and he is just about our most consistent shot on goal.
We can afford to try a few new things the next 2 weeks. Let the players enjoy it and see if freeing there minds can free there spirit to run silly and do things.
Can't be any worse than our last 20 minutes of the last game.
I remember a coach once saying (in another code) yes it's the players job to play football but it can also be fun. Don't you guys (talking to the media ) like to have some fun when you go to work ? Well it shouldn't be any different for these players. Sometimes you just have to make it fun and see where that leads you. |

Thought he did pretty well for a 3rd gamer.
Maynard, Sinclair and Frost were our worst defensive performers IMO. |

This one. Frost is on VERY shaky turf for mine and has been for several weeks. Marley also. |

How much of that is a consequence of the midfield getting nutted over the last few weeks meaning more D50 entry and better quality D50 entry? |

That means Karnezis' days with us are over. Somehow I suspect he never really was given a chance, but then again, maybe the experts recognised his deficiencies and considered they were too ingrained to be overcome. |

pk needs to play a game and we brought in two backs so options were limited. kennedy had to be rewarded for his effort hence named emergency. _________________ Purveyor of sanctimonious twaddle. |

Ben Kennedy deserves a spot ahead of Blair. Toovey rested! He has been taking it easy for weeks. Hard working Frosty dropped makes no sense. |

He was good in the VFL last week. I thought he played his best game, so far, even though he's played a couple where he had more disposals - his ball use was exceptionally good. |
