I guess this thread is a great example of the "diversity of views in a broad church" approach to footy talk. I reckon this is a good team well selected. Don't agree with gifting games at this level to anyone just to check if they can handle top class footy, that is what the bloody VFL is for.
Shazza can bide his time FFS. Play a blinder in the VFL to get your ticket to the AFL.
Well done Collingwood. You have given us a competitive chance of victory instead of another honourable loss. If we get full reward for effort with straight kicking for goal and better field kicking to position, we CAN win this game for sure.

I hope 3rd degree has taken it OK, given that his favourite player, Clinton Young, has not been recalled. Crying or Very sad

I hope you take it OK when he gets a renewed 4-year contract with the 'Pies.

Very conservative selection. We've seen enough of Maynard, we surely need to see more of Kennedy and Scharenberg. Only excuse not to play Matt is that he may not be at peak fitness after missing a lot of footy.

It's been a disappointing season for Kennedy, still struggling to get a game.

Well, that - and the fact that he was very ordinary in the VFL last week, despite the Collingwood Media Department Fanzine review of his game.

Of course, you might still get your wish, since he's an emergency.

If my memory serves me correctly Matt did his knee just 12 months ago. To have gone through recovery and to have played as many games as he has this year is a great effort. When taking into account that it can take up to 2 years to recocover from this injury I feel the Matt we are currently watching is a shaddow of what he could be Hopfully he will recommit to Collingwood, he will get in a good preseason and by half way through the 2016 he will be showing us that he has the skills and the mojo to be the player we hoped him to be. Irrespective of the next three games this is hopefully where we are distined.

Folks what we have here is a chance to play spoiler and also keep our chances of playing finals alive.
Beating the toothless bunch from punt road on the eve of finals will do wonders for there nerves plus it keeps our chances alive.
Wonder whether Bucks will move Marsh or Frost to FB or switch a Reid or Moore back ? Maynard coming in doesn't surprise he was decent before getting a rest.
We might need a extra tall back depending on how the Tigers line up.
Will Rance go to Cloke or stay and play on our deepest forward ?
We could stretch them playing Cloke Reid Moore all inside 50 it's a tall forward line add to it Elliott and Faz leaping ability and we are due to actually kick the dang thing straight surely.
We need to win the battle in the middle. They are very good at running one way when things go there way. I still have doubts they like it when they are under pressure constantly.
Look were a better than 50/50 chance I reckon
Call it one eyed call it optimistic
Call it whatever but I'm tipping us

Another Double Header. VFL game is the More Important Game Wink

Well I think we are a Real Chance of winning Tommorow.

Not sure why but we Might get up for Tooves 150th and we can still have 1 Big Scalp this year and Tigers is our Last Chance

I be happy as long the Effort is there and we don’t Get Flogged. Also see the Kids(Like Grundy,Adams and Moore) play very well

I love our Chances but I still tip the Tigers by 15pts

Bugger it, the dumb Tiges are just as likely to stuff this one up, as we are of winning it, i dunno why, dunno, but now i think we could pinch it by around nine points, and i cant even explain why i think we can !!

Who takes Vickery? Frost goes to Riewoldt and Marsh is giving away too many cm, so maybe it's Moore who plays on him? I don't want us playing that hack into form. Think he kicked 3 last time we played.

Marsh has a Huge Leap so I can see Marsh on Him Unless you put him on Riewoldt
