Really? I think dropping White actually hung Moore out to dry. Coaching staff should have known that Witts/Grundy doesn't offer anything more than pinch hitting up forward. Neither seems to be able to take a contested mark and they sure as hell aren't fast so can't get any distance between them and their opponents to make a lead.
Moore tried his guts out.... but game 2... geez |
Looked a really bad move. Can only assume that White was not doing what was required and needed to be sent a message. Purely on team needs it made very little sense. Drop a tall, fine. But it should have been either Witts or Grundy. _________________ Well done boys! |

The coaches hung Moore out to dry by not going man on man inside 50, instead opting to use their own loose man in D50, meaning the raw Moore was NO CHANCE in just his 4th game. I would've thought they'd give Moore a chop out by not allowing Melb a plus one inside their D50. Preposterous coaching! _________________ Est. 2002 |

Was it a Nick Maxwell style loose man in defence or a 2 on 1? There is no way a kid in his first few matches could either handle a 2 on1 OR have the presence to deal with a loose man. About the only thing I would accept the coaching staff letting slide would be a 2 on 1 vs Witts.
White might be a bit of a fuckup, but he offered enough to include him while Cloke is out. White would at least take the best defender and offer more around the F50 than Witts, who while capable is a bit of a lumbering stationary target. |

No, not really. It was a poor attempt at humour. |

Bucks doesn't believe in manning up, in particular, the F50
How many times has Cloke had 3 or 4 on him.
Leaving a skinny runt to cope with that is just stupid. _________________ we don't eat our own at collingwood we just allow them to foul our nest. |
