Post subject: Our ruck connundrum | |
|
With Grundy (21 years of age) and Witts (22 years old) being our principal rucks, it seems strange we would chase Kreuzer. Racking my brains over the last week, I think the theory is this:
"Rucks mature at 26 years of age and until that time arrives, inconsistency and durability/fitness are an issue. I think Bucks is concerned that Grundy doesn't get burnt out over the next 3-4 seasons and with the inclusion of Kreuzer (27 years old in March), he may have a fully fledged and ready ruckman for this period".
"Additionally, given he is a free agent and doesn't require any exchange of draft picks, he would be easy to prise out of the Blues"
"Also given Carlton are going to low ball Kreuzer with a view to force him out so SOS can secure an extra draft pick (number 2), it makes for a simple transfer."
"Kreuzer's propensity to go forward and snag a goal is more likely than Witts/Grundy's"
"Lastly, I think the Pies realise Witts has currency in the market place, lacks the genuine mongrel for the contest and would provide a useful draft pick to secure either Treloar/Aish".

If and IF we grab Kruzy then that would suggest we are going to trade Witts. |

Agreed Culprit. Balances the list out I guess in terms of age/profile. _________________ I love the Pies, hate Carlscum |

Why rob Peter to pay Paul?
Is Peter getting pissed off as he's always being robbed?
& who is this Paul FFS? _________________ “I even went as far as becoming a Southern Baptist until I realised they didn’t keep ‘em under long enough” Kinky Friedman |
