Post subject: Who is our trade bait | |

Confident a premiership window is ominous with the core of this young list and the way they play. Still much room for improvement. And still perhaps some tough calls to be made in terms of who to trade. For me, Witts and Grundy are both going to be dominant ruck man, however wont fulfill their potential in the same team. Witts is like a young Sandilands and has surpassed Grundy this season for mine. Grundy, Seedsman, and quite a few others I would be interested to see what we could get in return. Who is everyone else's trade bait for the end of this season? _________________ ~ Its all about the chemistry ~ |

After todays effort the waterboy trade could be used to get another slab of VB. _________________ we don't eat our own at collingwood we just allow them to foul our nest. |

Teams as young as ours are going to have poor games like that, and considering it was our first genuinely poor loss for the season, probably shouldnt read too much in to it, keep things in context, we are building for the seasons to come. Surely De Goey needs a good spell in the ressies after today though, perhaps until next season. Frost might be due for a spell in the rezzies too _________________ ~ Its all about the chemistry ~ |

But seriously a whole host of players have little value.
Besides from our unproven youngters there is only Elliot, Langdon and maybe a few others that have any currency.
Guys like Seedsman may go for 3rd round pick
The point is trading guys such as Witts and getting a a great player or trade is just fanciful. _________________ we don't eat our own at collingwood we just allow them to foul our nest. |

Grundy has value, add Seedsman, and a few other players in a similar category, you could get quite a fair bit of value there _________________ ~ Its all about the chemistry ~ |

Yes Grundy has value but it probably hasn't improved in the last 12 months. _________________ we don't eat our own at collingwood we just allow them to foul our nest. |

No way I'd trade Grundy.
Wouldn't trade Witts either.
Toovey would be the one I'd throw up. He's been a great servant but turns the ball over too often and we have plenty of depth in that area.
Would prefer to keep Kennedy and Seedsman for another year as well and obviously Schrenberg. People always seem to call for Faz to be traded too but I think he's had a solid year. |

I would definitely hope we keep Fasolo. Could be a big off season for the pies coming up I reckon. _________________ ~ Its all about the chemistry ~ |

Seriously who would want Toovey or Blair or Dywer or PK or Armstrong or Young or Goldy...
Someone may go to the bargin table and throw one in for depth or a surprise kinder special. _________________ we don't eat our own at collingwood we just allow them to foul our nest. |

Toovey would attract a second round pick I reckon. He's a quality medium defender. The Qld clubs would love to have him, not sure he'd want to go there though. Goldsack would get us a second rounder too, but I'd keep him.
The others you mention have no value. |

Seriously Toovey is 29 at the start of next season.
He can't kick, handball or stick a tackle lately.
Your dreaming if you think he is going for a second round pick.
Goldsack is 29 also next year and he is not setting the world on fire is he?... _________________ we don't eat our own at collingwood we just allow them to foul our nest. |

Didn't realise he'd be 29, but I still reckon a late second rounder is about fair. It's a shallow draft this year. |
