i thought moore was ordinary. took a couple of good grabs but outside of that was ineffectual. _________________ Purveyor of sanctimonious twaddle. |

Is there any player that looks exciting at the moment?
Yes there is one - Varcoe! ......and maybe Moore.
The rest look so boring and common.
I have watched De Goey carefully the last few weeks, and
I have seen nothing that inspires me.. he sometimes fumbles, he misses
goals and targets and he often takes the wrong option.
I understand that he is a first year player and that he may end up
a fantastic player. But I see nothing there at this very moment, as
I see nothing much in a lot of players.
Levi and Adams are both hard as cats heads players but they both
lack kicking and handball skills.
Except for the Tony Shaw years I can't remember a side that lacks class
and the wow factor as much as this side. _________________ we don't eat our own at collingwood we just allow them to foul our nest.

cmon, the writing was on the wall when we lost to geelong way before the bye, then it was richmond soon after. freo, hawthorn, port, west coast, wb and now lowly old melbourne. I'm mean what the hell do you expect with a one dimensional game plan, one that relies on nothing else, absolutely nothing else except winning the contested farming ball. that is a basic, out dated recopy of any bottom 8 team that was coached in the early 90's.
buckleys pig headedness as ruined any forward progress that we gained from a good first half of the season. again.
he never coaches in a manner to thwart a oppositions plan b. the plan b that gets a opponent of the canvas and back into the game. he's drumming into the players that you must contest all loose ball and suffocate any contest. its a slow and painful experience when watching and the players are sick of it. _________________ no second chances |

We got enough of the ball, but operating with an undersized and underused forward setup we struggled to generate enough offense. The lack of targets made ball use even more difficult.
Melbourne were actually pretty good today. We however beat them pretty comfortably out of the middle. The scoring power just wasn't there and made it easy for their counter attacks. They tried a similar strategy against us earlier in the year. It worked at times and they got some easy goals, but with Cloke and White in the side there were far less easy rebounds. Cloke kicking 7.0 of course helped as well. |
Huh? I thought Melb were pretty crap...it's just that we were so woeful it didn't matter. _________________ Est. 2002 |

If you recruit dumb, ineffective kicks of the ball Nathan and play bloke with the offensiveness of a "Tibetan Monk conference" you'll throw up performances like today.
But of course we are "irrational Pies" supporters reacting to a loss! And all the "law and order" defence attorneys out there on this site (yes you Jackcass) it's time to defend the indefensible!! _________________ I love the Pies, hate Carlscum |

Good times... |
And it goes on season after season under this bloke, every July and August, without fail... which I suppose is an oxymoron in itself, because it is indeed a FAIL.
Dyso |
Three things every year
a) We never deal with the loose man back
b) We bomb it blindly to a small forward outnumbered 4-1
c) We courageously lock it in our forward line for 10 minutes plus only to do something dumb and get caught on the rebound
Every year...
Still, 2017.... |
Staunts, I HATE your post for the reasons below:
a) it's tragically correct
b) nobody at the club has the brains to address it
c) we have to put up with this shit year after year
But that's okay because it's apparently ALL Jessie White's fault...
And I really feel sorry for the supporters who actually attend week after week, and part with their hard-earned money, to put up with this inept shitfullness, at selection table and onfield.
Haven't really got much to add to that, sorry.

The saddest part of the inept performance today was that at the 15min mark of the final quarter, we were only a few goals down but didn't even look like we had the hunger, desire or leadership to win. _________________ - Side By Side - |

True.
And why oh why can we just take the game on and run forward.
