Post subject: A Magpie comes of ageReply with quote

The year is 1920 and a young man kicks one goal in his first game against
St Kilda then gets dropped.
Last round he shows promise and kicks three goals but feels he wont make
it and contemplates returning to Diamond Creek.
Selected weeks later in the Prelim he kicks 5gls. against Carlton and the Age
says "Coventry is coming into notice as a sharp shooter--fast forward to 2015 against Footscray.
Another Magpie came into notice as a sharp shooter and we are so very
lucky to see a new legend.

He sounds good. Have we got room on our list to re-rookie him?

Yep, only 1,294 goals to go for that comparison to be viable.

Hey, I will be more than happy if he is a good as his old man. Coventry is another level again.

Hell, I'll be happy to find a tall making forward who gives a good lead, takes a good number of marks every game and kicks accurately.

Based on the physical dimensions pf 183cm tall and 85 kg, Nathan Freeman needs to be sent to the goal square as the second coming of Gordon. Razz

Hell while he's kicking a 1000 goals for us he will be doing a masters in astrophysics and be invited to be guest speaker at a special sitting of the UN Security Council. I hope he has a big mantelpiece for his 8 Copelands, 4 Norm Smiths, 3 Brownlows and his VC.
