My Beloved shed a tear for Jeremy on his departure. For Jeremy! Of all unworthy causes!
It was her favourite British TV show, no less, which means I have indirectly seen each episode several times It was entertaining, to be sure, so it will be interesting to see if the new version cuts it. _________________ In the end the rain comes down, washes clean the streets of a blue sky town.

Off to Sydney Friday to take the lesser half to see the show.
And I'm glad it's not just me that sees each episode a dozen times! Do they forget the episode was on? Actually I just find another telly to watch!
They have had some epic challenges though! _________________ You cant fix stupid, turns out you cant quarantine it either! |

It was more or less his show, wasn't it? Not many TV shows survive very long after their main star's departure, so I wouldn't expect this to be any different.
(Never actually seen an episode, though! Cars have the same effect on me as arthouse cinema has on TP - eyes glazing over big time.) _________________ All watched over by machines of loving grace |

When they're fans of that show, they're huge fans! I was actually recruited to search for tickets here when it was on, but IIRC it was sold out well in advance.
Should be a good laugh, though, and your partner will love it no doubt. _________________ In the end the rain comes down, washes clean the streets of a blue sky town.

Yeah I hope so, just to say I told you so, he's less than impressed! Said "can you sell the tickets?" Apparently he went when it was in Victoria but I don't remember!
But I will never ever buy him a present again! _________________ You cant fix stupid, turns out you cant quarantine it either! |

I wont be watching Top Gear with the new lineup but I sure will be watching the new show Clarkson, Hammond and May will no doubt produce.
Clarkson and his schoolboy humour isn't for everyone (I enjoy it but I'm not precious) but put the 3 together and you have an onscreen chemistry that is very hard to find and it's the real reason the show was so successful.
May is my favourite and I'm sure even Tannin could appreciate his dry wit. _________________ He's mad. He's bad. He's MaynHARD! |

I took my son to the Showgrounds to see Clarkson and May and he had such a great time I took him to Sydney for the first Top Gear Festival when they came back the following year (2 years ago?).
I had a lot of fun, too, at both events, even though I have little interest in cars. I was going to take the boy to the Sydney event again this year until it was scheduled for the end of the Easter Holidays (previously, the Sydney Shows had been on our Labour Day long weekend in March) and then rescheduled to now because of the bust-up with the BBC. The Sydney show was jut wonderful, so you should all enjoy it (I've never seen Hammond live and I'm sure it works better with all 3 of them, since the little guy is the butt of so many jokes), even if it looks like a bit of a bother getting organised to go interstate. |
