Yep and it will continue to happen if the AFL keep treating the fans like crap and telling fans how to behave. If the AFL was less political and PC and more sport it might survive, but it isn't. |

Actually they do, it's the most played team sport at junior level in Australia now, but part of that has to do with the basic nature of the game, and the relative low impact of the sport when compared to Aussie rules or Rugby.
The problem soccer has is turning those kids who play the game as kids, and play FIFA on consoles/PC's into fans at a local level (A-League)
The A-League doesn't have a huge following, it gets decent attendances but it's TV ratings are that low that when they tried to sell the rights to the A-League to a FTA network no one other then SBS wanted them.
Soccer is a threat but it's not a threat at elite competition level yet, especially if the AL continues to be a summer league and the best players don't play here. |

Lots of kids play soccer because to participate you basically need bugger all skill and there's no body contact. _________________ Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down. |

Are you slashing them with a busted FIFA playstation disc? if you do, we can start a social media movement on Twitter about how Soccer kills.
