Dave, I was going off my head about that!!
Pay it early and the defender has to stop doing it. |
Same here and the same thing happened to Jesse White as well in the first half on certain occasions. |
Pretty soft free, could equally have been paid to the Doggies forwards on a couple of occasions. |
Really?? Are we talking about the same incidents??
If one is attempting to spoil, one needs to at least pretend they're making an attempt to reach the ball.
Going the body while the opponent is going for a mark is a free kick 100 times out of 100. |
I don't have the benefit of a replay but my recollection of the incident at the time is that there are dozens of similar incidents in games that Appropriately don't receive a free, hence I thought it was soft. Multiple replays shown at the time did nothing to change my view. |
Nobody in their right mind could've possibly seen that and argued there was no free kick, if we're talking about the same one of course. Bewildering if so.
I do agree with one point though - the one the boy did actually get paid was the softest of the multiple similar infringements on the day...... _________________ "I am a great sage, equal of heaven.

A few of his marks reminded me of his dad at VFL Park in 1977 when we smashed Carlton by over a 100 points. Peter sat in the goal square and kicked seven. The kicking and marking style are so similar. Darcy's athleticism is freakish for his height. He is gonna be one helluva a player to match up on in the future. Joe Daniher is very athletic but I reckon Darcy is more agile because he is better at the ground ball. This guy is going to kick as many crumbling goals as marking goals. _________________ Magpies love pies(Lol) |

Yep - he takes the ball with his arms fully stretched and hands on the side of the ball. His speed is impressive - a couple of his goals came from sprinting off his opponent.
Could be a smoky for the rising star this week. _________________ I think therefore I think - I think |
