Adelaide and Geelong end up 7 and 8 with 12.5 win and we end up 9th with 12 wins but a superior percentage.

Get the feeling (reckon Bucks & most of Collingwood as well) that is doesn't matter if we make finals or not this year, its more about next year.
Clearly we have the cattle, we just need to pick up 1 or 2 big names this year to top it off.

There isn't much else that they can say during the season. The honest assessment will happen after the season. However my view is that the club will be happy at the progress of the team's development this year irrespective of whether they make the finals or not.

With a refreshed Adams back next week and games against the Dees and the hapless Blues to come all is not lost. We're only four points adrift of the eight.

Season as far as finals are concerned is over.
We can't beat the 6th placed team, no hope against the top 4.
We seem cooked.
The season now is about establishing our best 26 players and making decisions on who to let go.
If we do pick up a qualitie mid , it has to mean some of our current Mids need to go.

Still have a far superior % than the 3 teams above us and hopefully we will improve on it over the next 2 weeks.
Still hope but you would think we have to win 2 out of Sydney, Richmond and Geelong assuming we don't lose to Melbourne, Carlton and Essendon.
Going to be a tough ask.
