A few interesting comments from Bucks's presser:
Kennedy showed a bit
Seedsman still trying to work out if he belongs at this level (a bit of a shot across the bow)
re structure with Cloke out for a few weeks - you replace a tall forward with a tall forward _________________ All We Can Be |

And you start going to the games then you can have a say. In the meantime, shut up. Armchair experts have no idea. _________________ I love this club and I hold anyone in contempt who does not think it is worth fighting for. |

Out on the full?
Missed tackles?
Ineffective spoils going third man up?
Taking advantage when there is none there? |
Well said. |
At half time our kicking efficiency was 80% to the Eagles 59%. |
Yep, was 78% to 71% at the end I think. Just goes to show how much harder they worked to offset that. The tackle count was something like 73-44 to so we worked hard. But how many times did our tackles cause a ball-up or a turnover? How often did the ball come out to a free Weagles player? |
It shows we didn't lack effort, just anyone who could take an overhead mark in our forward line. |
That'd be lovely. Even down the flanks. Once we'd lost Cloke we were likely going to struggle in that area. |

Thanks MM. Actually like to see Kennedy and the Seed get a couple of games. Kennedy did show a bit, if he'd kicked that goal we'd probably rate his efforts higher. Seed always seems to take a couple to get back up to pace and yes I know he probably directly contributed to at least 3 of their goals. |

It is all academic though, the Hawks will win 3 in a row, they are next to freaking unbeatable when they are on. Completely destroying the Swans right now. Too damn good that lot. |
In terms of our prospects this year this best sums it up!
The Hawks are clearly the benchmark but considering our overall development and rebuild we're faring pretty well in light of the low expectations at the start of the year.
We were never a flag-winning prospect despite our good start but our aim should be to make the eight and hopefully win a final if it's possible. It would be a great achievement for a young side like us and after our second-half collapse last year I hope the playing group is desperate enough to not repeat it again after being 8-3 at the halfway mark just like last year. _________________ | 1902 | 1903 | 1910 | 1917 | 1919 | 1927 | 1928 | 1929 | 1930 | 1935 | 1936 | 1953 | 1958 | 1990 | 2010 | 2023 | |

Which one? He had several opportunities that should of been kicked, particularly in the closed stadium _________________ "The last thing he expected WAS THE FIRST THING HE GOT!!!!!"

The issue with Kennedy is not that he can't get the ball or his tackling
lt is his kicking! Can he find a target and can he kick goals.
He couldn't even make that 40 m goal on the run.
We have too many players who can't kick or use the ball _________________ we don't eat our own at collingwood we just allow them to foul our nest. |

Before the Season Started many on here had us finishing outside the 8. Season Over? My view is If you can't make top four you need to finish as low as possible and use the system.
Keep blooding the kids and let's see what transpires. |

Next game is against the Western Bulldogs but we have to wait till Round 20 before we play Sydney and therefore everyone team at least once.
I think this ladder puts our season in a little bit more context. Whilst we have been more competitive against the top teams e.g. Hawthorn, we haven't been able to beat them.
This was meant to be a development year and in reality still is.
1 Fremantle -- LOST by 7
2 West Coast -- LOST by 31
3 Hawthorn -- LOST by 10
4 Sydney
5 Richmond -- LOST by 5
6 Bulldogs --
7 GWS Giants -- WON by 42
8 Collingwood
9 Nth Melbourne -- WON by 17
10 Adelaide -- LOST by 27
11 Geelong -- LOST by 41
12 Port Adelaide -- LOST by 3
13 St Kilda -- WON by 74
14 Essendon -- WON by 20
15 Melbourne -- WON by 25
16 Carlton -- WON by 75
17 Gold Coast -- WON by 69
18 Brisbane -- WON by 12 _________________ Sydney Collingwood Supporters Club

Relative experience (average games per player = GPP) also provides context. We have won every game where we were more experienced (plus Ess, Car, NM games). See below.

Thanks, MM - that also serves to illustrate quite what a poor position the Blooz, Essendon and North are in. |

hypothetically, how would we be looking if we had have played this batch of teams earlier in the year? i'd hazard a guess the outlook would have been more grim had we lost four straight then rather than now. _________________ Purveyor of sanctimonious twaddle. |

Not sure how much development there has been. We were a mid road team last year and this ladder suggests we're still a mid road team. Able to beat the bottom teams but can't beat the better ones. _________________ Fighting against the objectification of woman. |
