Season is over anyway as Hawks are a lock for flag number 13.

Our season is over only from a flag winning prospect, but we can still make the 8 and win a final which would be an improvement from 2014. It is all academic though, the Hawks will win 3 in a row, they are next to freaking unbeatable when they are on. Completely destroying the Swans right now. Too damn good that lot.

We are light years away atm.
Our best asset is we try hard...sad but true.
Our next best asset is our sub 23's we undoubtedly have some talent here, problem being so do others.
Next would be our fitness, appears to have improved a fair bit.

Then it tips off the edge...

Our weaknesses start and they are in the most vital areas for the now, our mid 20's with the the exception of a couple are either unfulfilled talents, never were talents or physically gifted with no football brain.
And worst of all our coaching division, selection idiocy and player defections, a seemingly complete and utter inability to change the status quo, fix gaping and obvious holes in a system (how long teams been going coast to coast on us?) If there is a system of note, what is most disturbing is we think we heading in the right direction.....

LMAO

Newsflash, when you outpoint the opposition in all the "important" areas, as we did the previous 3 weeks but but still lose the games........

There is something WRONG with your system!!!!

Premature evaluation. Franklin just kicked 3 in 2 minutes 40. Then McVeigh kicked one.

Hawks lead cut to 3 goals.

lol.....yeah, i know, they kick 3 straight away, but then the hawks nail 2 to end the qtr. Like I said, when they are on they are too good.

Any team is too good when it's on. If we'd kicked straight we'd have beaten them. I guess they were just not on that day...?. they're a great football team, but noone has the premiership locked at this stage of the year

Stop hugging the boundary. Mick left years ago.

It's not the game plan. It's the continual inability to execute basic skills. How many players have missed easy goals over the last 4 weeks when the game was there to be won?

Out on the full?

Missed tackles?

Ineffective spoils going third man up?

Taking advantage when there is none there?

Well said.

At half time our kicking efficiency was 80% to the Eagles 59%.

It is the game plan. Why have we reverted back to playing the boundary line?

Gee, maybe a lack of options through the corridor force you wide. Pretty sure Bucks isn't telling players to not create options in the corridor. Maybe a bit of credit to those teams for forcing us wide.

All good, but after half time, our kicking or goal was shithouse

Yep, was 78% to 71% at the end I think. Just goes to show how much harder they worked to offset that. The tackle count was something like 73-44 to so we worked hard. But how many times did our tackles cause a ball-up or a turnover? How often did the ball come out to a free Weagles player?

It shows we didn't lack effort, just anyone who could take an overhead mark in our forward line.
