Is it just me or is this going to be yet another draw at Lords? Anyone game to predict getting another 19 wickets on this flat road?

The Rogers/Smith partnership of 259 unf. is the new second wicket record for Aussies at Lords.

Who held it previously ?

Only Sir Donald Bradman and Bill Woodfull. Smile

It is just one run short of the highest partnership for Australia at Lord's, between openers Mark Taylor and Michael Slater in 1993.

Rogers' inning was superb. He outscored Warner early, to set the tone for the day, and Smith, after they both brought up their centuries.

Lord's Test.

Where are you all ? Smile

At work, just got home. Knocked off at 9.30pm instead of 8pm.

I'm up at 5.40am tomorrow so I'll be off to bed before midnight tonight

And me, I just forgot it started last night. Woke up a few minutes ago and saw the score. Embarassed

After I've had a couple of cups of coffee, I'll check the score again, in case I'm actually still dreaming.

Watched the majority of the first day's play actually. But once I'd settled in I wasn't near the computer, the phone was upstairs, and I wasn't moving from my warm spot on the couch! Very Happy
(Paying for it at work today....)

Loved that middle session!!
How good was it to watch 2 blokes in the Australian top 3 batting within themselves??!! That's all that's required in those conditions.

Could be anything, today.

1 run for Rogers/Smith to reach the Tubby/Slats all wicket record for Aussies at Lord's.

It's already Rogers' highest Test score but he has a way to go to pass his 319 highest first class score. His Test batting average has gone up by 3.85, during this innings, from the 40 he averaged, coming into this Test. It will drop, slightly, if he gets out early, today.

4 to Rogers and there's the new Lords record for an Aussie partnership at Lord's.

1/345. Rogers 166*, Smith 129*.

8 from the first over (Anderson).

1 wicket yesterday, 1 today. At Lord's, that qualifies as an Australian batting collapse.

Marsh in to bat and drives a 4 off the first ball.

England have two fieldsmen standing either side of the bowler (level with the wicket). Strange field. Healy calling the field placing an "umbrella".

All because Marsh likes to drive.
