Johnson giving the runs way - he's not able to keep a tight line & unable to control indeed get any swing. The pitch of course has been made to reduce his impact but he is not good enough indeed clever enough to know how to get out of this predicament.

Their tail wagged, we lost 5/44 & our tail was docked.

At the 26th over they are 3/97. Lyon looks to be troubling for them but that seems to be about it so far.

The footwork by the batsmen in the morning session (Watson & Haddin) was woeful. 2 & a half days to go & it is quite disappointing.

Australia is right down the very bottom of the hole. Things might have been different if Root hadn't been dropped on 0 in the first innings but, as it is, there looks to be no way back. England will probably bowl Australia out for about 185. Sadly, rain is not expected.

If Australia chase down 412 it will be the 3rd highest successful 4th Innings chase of all time.

You'd have to say no chance.

Best thing we can hope for is a draw most likely but we'll struggle to last the whole two days if we play for the draw!

May as well go for it and see what happens!

No need to "go for it" as such, if they occupy the crease long enough they'll get 412.
Problem is, I don't see too many in the Australian side with the patience to bat all day for a slow hundred. Rogers and Voges maybe.

This wicket will get the impatient types, but if going in with the mindset of looking to defend first and rotate the strike, I don't see too many balls with a batsman's name on it.

Marais Erasmus has just given Anderson a warning for running on the pitch. Needs to watch that
