assesment of the clubs direction sighting the feeling around club
very much like 2010--2011
He goes on to say he is happy to hang around the 50 meter arc and

From next year we might see Swan the midfielder evolve into Swan the forward.

He looked dangerous last week up against a elite opponent in Hodge.

I am hoping that by 2017, our next set of midfielders are pushing out the older players. Like 2010 when O'Bree, Tarks etc couldn't make the team by the end of the year.

Swanny could end up playing VFL in 2017 if our recent recruiting goes to plan.

Swanny seems to be getting better as he gets older,, hope he stays healthy and plays on. As much as we loved O Bree and Tarkyn, they weren't of the same calibre of Swan so there is really no comparison.

^^^ Agreed. The better comparison is with Buckley, who played until he was 35 and still managed to get a game despite the drafting of Pendlebury and Thomas, although Buckley was beset by leg injuries that Swanny has generally avoided so that there is a chance an otherwise healthy Swan could play on beyond that age, if he wanted. The Great Dane will only be 33 at the end of the 2017 season.
