Glad you asked. Pies have not played at the SCG since 2000.
We used to sit in the OReilly Stand which is on the wing and gives you a view of both ends, but for some reason the play seems to go through the other side of the ground. It is a right pain getting out of the ground as there is one of those one way tunnels which forces all the punters through at once at the pace of a fast snail.
But since the Swans became popular, there are different prices for different parts of the stadium, so check the Ticketek seat plan very carefully. As well, last year they sold out of $25 tickets very quickly so we were forced to buy the $44 dollar tickets. So again check your seat plan carefully. Ticketek charges $6 to $8 booking fee on top of the rip off prices.
Want to get in or out of the airport cheaply? Take the 400 bus to Rockdale station, then the train to anywhere in the suburban network for about half the price of the direct airport train. |
