I'm not happy he kicked 1.5 but he is getting ball. I'd be worried if he wasn't touching it. _________________ Go Pies...Premiers 2010 |

Happy for Cloke to get the Ball up the Ground but not around the Goals _________________ I am Da Man |

Wasn't the umps this time.
Agree though about the dropping the ball interpretation. And also note that Hawthorn consistently creep over the mark. Coached to do so in my opinion. _________________ Four legged animals good, two legged animals better |

the same old umpire apologist flying the flag for them, nothing will change until they stop apologising for them and stop deluding themselves into thinking umpires don't effect the outcomes of games, umpiring is the one aspect of our game that HAS NOT IMPROVED or evolved with the game.
umpiring last night was shit again just as it will be in the various games today, there is no consistency and far to much favouritism of individual players and teams.
We where all told at the start of the season that umpires will be hard on dropping the ball and incorrect disposal, last nights effort on their behalf was a joke, as sad inept joke. _________________ Pain heals, Chicks dig scars, Glory..... lasts forever! |

There was rubbish for both teams so I don't think we were screwed over.
Although I blew a gasket over the Gunston no call in the goal square. That was holding the ball every day of the week. Had prior and he dropped the ball without disposing. This interpretation shits me as it is hit and miss on when they pay and when they don't.
The goalposts was the major problem last night. They kept moving each time 1 of our players had a shot. The AFL need to investigate this, clearly unacceptable. _________________ Human behavioural studies suggest people who use a lot of swear words tend to be more honest & trustworthy. |

Speaking of Blair. Despite his limitations one of his strengths is that he is a great set shot for goal. Makes me wonder what would've happened if he played the whole game. He might've been the difference.

It's not a free unless they had prior opportunity. _________________ Two more flags before I die! |

For those that know something about the game, it's was our kicking with some influence by the umpires, especially in the last few minutes when a Pies player, think it was White who was jumper pulled in a contest situation late that should have had us with a shot dead in front. _________________ There is Collingwood and then the rest. |

I'm not going use the umpiring as an excuse.
Having said that I am very frustrated that Hawthorn are breaking the rules when the opposition take a mark or get a free kick. They hold up that player by grabbing an arm, pretending they don't know who to give the ball to and the stalling by not allowing them to get up. it is systematic time wasting that is being coached into their game plan. This should be stopped immediately.
The umpires should be aware of it and start playing fifty metres. They need to review that game and be aware of how often it happens. It happened all night and was never once policed. I hope our a Club brings it to their attention for next time. Start paying fifty against them and their coach will soon tell them to stop doing it. Hawthorn are exploiting their leniency. The rule against time wasting has been relaxed and they know it. _________________ Magpies love pies(Lol) |

We tend to lose 50/50 interpretations it's why we have finished bottom 4 on the frees ladder 7/10 times in the last 10 years.. Someone better schooled in stats should have a better look at that.
Rioli's swivel under Frost's armpit - 50/50 loss
Rioli's duck into the ball bracing for Varcoe - 50/50 loss
Cloke's disallowed mark on boundary line - Umpiring error loss
Cloke's face palming 50/50 win
Gunston dropped ball - 50/50 loss
Blair free in last qtr - 50/50 win
Lewis/Hodge incorrect disposal - 50/50 loss
It's not going to change anytime soon. _________________ Assistant Coach # 23,738 |
